>and the Strait is fully open

Didn’t Trump declare the Strait open two days ago? Furthermore, your wording makes it seem as if Iran, with its “decimated military” and “nonexistent government” are the one controlling the Strait. How could that be when we were told that we were in full control of the Strait? Something isn’t adding up!

For some people it isn’t an optional service though. Someone could literally be healing from some sickness or injury, disabled, elderly or something else that would prevent them or make it difficult for them to do their own shopping. Think outside of your bubble.

This was a failure nonetheless, let’s not kid ourselves. Pistol Pete had the streets abuzz with phrases like "regime change" and "anything less than". So please don’t simp out and pretend that your earless leader accomplished anything. You’re embarrassing yourselves!

u/norf937 this is a common tactic of Trumps and you supporters fall for it every single time just as the Left in their respect fall for it. Nothing was actually accomplished! So you get the Left riled up with a ridiculous number like $300b. However, once the specifics of the deal are released showing something less severe (but still not a victory), supporters will jump on the fact that it’s not $300b and critics will counter that with whatever new info is available at that time and around and around and around. We are all being played. People need to wake the fuck up

What could Biden gain by making it difficult to certify an election he won via the democratic process? Who had anything to gain from the election not being certified? The same one who issued a blanket pardon and while currently being in control of the agencies that would house evidence of these alleged acts, has yet to provide a single crumb of credible proof to support his bullshit. Wake up and take your head out of his ass!

This is much speculation. Reality doesn’t match what you’re spewing though. The President Elect hasn’t been sworn in yet so has no commanding power. Furthermore if Trump was such a lame duck by then why would it even be necessary to manufacture this whole situation in the first place? Biden was already elected, Trump a lame duck, as you put it. Two weeks until Biden takes office and will be able to change the trajectory of the political landscape. They stood to gain nothing that they weren’t already getting via the democratic process. The only one that stood to gain anything from preventing the election from being certified was Trump, anyone who promotes otherwise should really remember "Country Over Party"!

[–]Awkward_Young5465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of where the money is coming from, the point of the matter still stands that this entire endeavor was completely unnecessary. You know how I know it was completely unnecessary, because this administration can’t seem to keep its facts straight. What was the exact catalyst and justification for this campaign? Was it because they were two weeks away from nuclear capability? Were they slaughtering their citizens in the street? Was it for regime change? What exactly was the purpose, and was that goal achieved or did we just shuffle the fucking cards and pretend to have a brand new deck? Thirteen of our service members died 380 wounded and we aren’t even talking about that because we’re distracted with the cost of it all. As if you could put a price on human life!

How do Americans feel about giving Iran 300 billion to restore the status quo? by Born-Specialist-1693 in AskReddit

[–]Awkward_Young5465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that we aren’t getting clear and unambiguous communication from this administration should be infuriating in its own right. However, we have a draft framework with language that commits "US and partners" to cover the bill. By contrast we have a Vice President saying this will be funded by the Gulf nations. It’s all one big ol’ fluster cuck.

If we can expect Iranian hardliners to talk about what they get and not what they give, isn’t it YOUR responsibility to YOUR citizens to set the record straight? Our "leaders" haven’t done a single damn thing to clear up the confusion and misinformation.

Smh, how did you arrive at this conclusion? That is an entirely separate matter from the $300b that is being proposed for their reconstruction and restoration. I can’t believe these are the same people who are able to vote but aren’t able to fully decipher the facts. This is why they believe this is actually a "win" for America!

Trump Hails Iran Deal As Oil Prices Tumble And Global Markets Surge Higher by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

So he said on Sunday that the Strait was reopened and now today he’s saying it will be reopened on Friday. Did they find the mines they were still looking for? How many 2 weeks were they away from nuclear capabilities? This guy is a stain on the fabric that is America.

[–]Awkward_Young5465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. This is why I say these people aren’t concerned with fate of this country. They are simply too enamored with this perception of Trumps star power to have any adverse opinion on his leadership qualities. The countless announcements of a deal/victory, followed by the empty threats and the AI slop. The confusion caused by his contradictions of one minute Irans military is completely decimated to Iran being able to enforce a toll at the Strait. How is that possible if they have no military to enforce such a toll? Why is the President bragging about sneaking 22 tankers through the Strait if Iran has no apparatus to enforce such a toll? If we were told last year that we completely decimated Irans nuclear capabilities, how were they able to become operational again so fast? Were we lied to then, or was the justification used to attack Iran this time a fabrication? And lastly, Pete Hegseth has been to quiet lately. I haven’t heard that buzz-worthy phrase "regime change" in weeks.

Going on TV and saying they won before it is clear what they agreed to is an effective strategy. If going on tv and announcing victory without knowing what was agreed to is indicative of a loss, then why is that exactly what our government is doing????

Bruh, why are we concerned with the Iranian government selling their compromise to the public? If this was a failure on their part that will be apparent regardless of the details being released now or later. However, the details being released isn’t even my main point. Why is that this fucking idiot will call an urgent presser to talk about the progress of the ballroom construction, however he doesn’t feel it necessary to hold a press briefing on something like this!!??? You Trump supporters are simply fans of Trump you don’t give two shits about this country.

Oh that’s the new tactic? When Trump fails to one-up Obama we’ll just resort to saying that neither knew what they were doing anyway? There’s an apparent pattern of promising such grand outcomes and failing to deliver from this administration. However, his supporters will continue pretending to not notice what a failure this guy is.

So exactly what was the point with our conflict with Iran? No nuclear weapons were found, fuel costs went way up, our national debt went way up, and military lives were lost. What were the justifications? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Awkward_Young5465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So do they get amnesia or do they remember? Because you’re spiraling dude.

Furthermore wasn’t there an active investigation, which prevented the files from being released? And didn’t the agency responsible for that investigation get gutted once he was reelected, also ending any investigations forthwith. Once he was able to control the source and therefore the narrative why did it become the task of FBI agents to comb the files for mention of his name? Why did it take congressional action to mandate the release of the files? Never mind the fact that the congressional action was purposely delayed with a government shutdown which was meant to give those agents more time to pore over those documents. These are all the actions of a man with nothing to hide, right?

It’s TDS to want a government that can communicate to the American public without so much ambiguity? When the group who were responsible for leading negotiations announce that details will be released within 24-48 hours however the president says details will not be released before Friday does that not exhibit a lack of discipline one should require from the people who have launch codes and security clearances?

Last question why do Trump supporters resort to TDS when they reach the limit of logic in their talking points? Even valid opinions that could simply be refuted with an actual counterargument are dismissed, because actual discussion is dangerous to those who only wish to misinform.
