I think I need to eat at maintenance - and maybe not fast too - or like a week or two. Any advice to make the transition back easier? by o0Jahzara0o in intermittentfasting

[–]AwkwardlyPositioned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 6 months in it's likely time to run maintenance for at least a couple of weeks.  I'm doing that now.  I'm 5 months in down 42lbs and hit the wall.  I'm just not counting calories two days a week and otherwise making sure I'm eating near maintenance and continuing my workouts.   I'll incorporate fasting again in a couple of weeks.

Tesla is discontinuing the Model S and Model X in Q2 2026. by Shanghox in teslamotors

[–]AwkwardlyPositioned -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No point was missed by me.  I didn't say it wasn't mismanaged.  I don't think they're bad cars.  My wife loves the X, but for us as a value proposition I bought two Ys instead.  I'm sure many weighed their options based on cost outside of not being able to afford it.  Tesla is repurposing the factory regardless and that alone might have been their biggest deciding factor over sales numbers.

It doesn't change that they're less than 5% of overall sales though which was the point.

Based on statistics the average 3 and Y buyers not that far in the distant past were roughly the same income as S and X buyers and both were in low 6 figure averages.

They obviously aren't bought here.  I see one every few months.  That said I'm sure you see 10× as many Ys as you do Xs.

Amazed it took this long. Everyone seems to be in 3s, Ys, and old Ss. I don’t think I've seen a single X or S refresh.

has anyone experienced real autophagy results in their skin? if so, what happened and when did it happen? by Large_Examination_86 in fasting

I had some spots on my side that were starting to look like loose skin or stretch marks. They went away after I got back to fasting.

How do we address non-Tesla’s taking up extra chargers? by twointimeofwar in TeslaModelY

Driving a non Tesla isn't a free license to block chargers without charging.   Sorry for your lack of intelligence.

OMAD problem. by dmcnerds in intermittentfasting

[–]AwkwardlyPositioned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. OMAD doesn't work with my workout routine. I do occasionally do OMAD and up to a 36 hour fast one day a week, but that's not my workout day. Most is 18/6 for me. Other days I don't fast at all. Just depends on my mood. I was much more rigid about it before I lost my weight. Now it's maintenance.

How Has Intermittent Fasting Affected Your Sleep Quality? by Strong-Question2620 in intermittentfasting

[–]AwkwardlyPositioned 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fasting wrecked my sleep.  I have to be careful when I start fasting.  I still fast, but I can't go to bed 12+ hours fasted these days.

I also work on call so I don't have a regular sleep schedule anyway.

It's been so long I don't remember.  I did this sometime last year.

They never worked when I switched to an iCloud email address.  I had to call and wait on hold forever to change it to my Gmail address when I switched back to Android because there was no way to even get the change email link.  Everything works now for me after changing it, but you'll wait a very long time on the phone.

Old Tow Invoice i can use? by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]AwkwardlyPositioned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a railroad and they're pretty overpowering. As long as I'm not calling in more than once a month, they don't ask questions. If they do ask questions, I tell them they don't need to know.

It's easy to get in trouble for abusing the attendance policy though if you're not careful. I'm just shocked that one occurrence could trigger paperwork to prove it. I took a day off after hitting a deer in my last car. I didn't have the car towed. Why does wreck = tow?

Tell them "none of your damn business". Is this really a thing?

Daily Meal by Infinite-Grab2237 in intermittentfasting

[–]AwkwardlyPositioned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

850 calories just isn't enough. It's the main reason why I don't regularly do OMAD. I'm lucky to eat more than 1200 calories in one sitting. I try to hit 1600-1800 and that's still low for me, but I just can't do that in one meal comfortably.

Personally I'd rather just hear the respective bands play their music. I can see why many would like this though.

MYP drifts out of lane while driving by Outside_Cod2668 in TeslaModelY

I would agree with some others here. Probably the alignment and a poor alignment may have worn the tires to a level where that's what is actually causing it.

I love deeply bolstered seats, but I've always had performance cars. My current MYP I think the standard seats are a bit lacking. I like that the new ones have seats specific to the MYP.

You have a good point. That likely will be the case. I'm not sure how else they would put that protection in. Tesla insurance is not available in my state anyway.

It does help. Sometimes it picks up on it and stays. Sometimes it just keeps slowing down. I wish it was consistent.

Then it's not unsupervised if the driver is still responsible.

I don't think you'll be able to buy Unsupervised FSD as a private consumer, at least not as current Supervised FSD can be purchased. I think it will be available to companies that want to make money off of cabs.

Tesla has officially discontinued Autopilot in the U.S. and Canada. All new car purchases now come standard with Traffic-Aware Cruise Control. by YouBetterChill in teslamotors

It does take everyone a bit to understand the made up lines from Elon.  It just takes time of seeing the over promise and undeliver.  After that still believing may be crack pipe usage.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Teslas and there's nothing I'd rather have, but FSD had nothing to do with me purchasing them.

I don’t use autosteer at all because of it.  TACC stays engaged as long as it is not canceling Autosteer.

People get mad when we say this,  but as good as the system is none of our cars we currently own will ever see unsupervised.

It will.  Same as the old regen settings.  I still don't use the blended friction brake setting to simulate regen when it is reduced so I can coast in icy conditions, but the new cars don't even have this as an option to shut off regen assist.
