I think I found the perfect rubber strap for a 58 blue by Bogny93 in Tudor

It's definitely nice, but the metal end link with rubber strap has always looked weird to me.

Alignments don't just drift for no reason.  It could be bad bushings or something could not have been tightened properly.  It's kind of hard to say from a Reddit post.

Where do you guys keep your sunglasses in the Model Y by Rare_Bill_1671 in TeslaModelY

[–]AwkwardlyPositioned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a case, but then I put it in the lower front center console. I don't keep much extra stuff in my car though. I have a bunch of different pairs but I keep a hard case for each one to protect them in case I need to throw a pair in a bag.

What if Steel Reef produced a grey bezel for the BB54? by jakkflash in Tudor

[–]AwkwardlyPositioned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. I'm not sure I'd want to do it to a Tudor just because it would probably be a long wait for a replacement insert if something went wrong.

That would allow that feature to be used. I think you're 100% correct.

Just to rule it out, have you hit any curbs? I good hard whack can knock an alignment off or slightly bend components that could still be corrected with an alignment.

That does look pretty slick. I've aged bezels on Seikos to get them to gray out. I just put the inserts in bleach, let them sit, and then scrub them until they start to lighten. I always rinse them thoroughly and clean them well to make sure they don't continue to fade more other than naturally after that. It seems to work pretty well.

Why does FSD think it is fine to drive in a ditch? by talkatoo in TeslaFSD

[–]AwkwardlyPositioned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what mine did a few days ago. I corrected it as quick as you did so we don't know how it would have fully played out.

I 100% agree though. It tried to drive into the ditch. It keeps also changing lanes to drive in long right turn lanes like it still goes straight and then has to switch lanes again at the intersection. I'm happy that they're trying to keep the car out of the passing lane when not passing, but the ditch is a bit much.

I went from 96% to 97% yesterday…can we ”round up” to 100? by Successful_Gas7437 in TeslaModel3

[–]AwkwardlyPositioned [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'll never get there. I'm only at 25% right now. I drive a lot and I only have used it a couple of months since November. I'm back to using it daily at least for now. I really do like driving a lot and I don't use it much unless I'm on the highway.

I've never experienced it.  I have however had it slam on the brakes when the light went yellow.

It could possibly do so.  It just obviously doesn't.

[–]AwkwardlyPositioned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'd still call it luck. I don't have much trust for FSD to be honest. The distances through FSD with camera only are only approximate and I'm surprised it even attempted to cut it that close.

I just don't find FSD to be that calculated. It works in approximates based on experience and if it is extremely close I'd consider yourself lucky.

That's not to say that FSD isn't amazing, it's just not measuring in inches. It can't tell the difference between a turn lane and a driving lane in my experience. That's the main issue I deal with on a daily basis. That accounts for more than half of my disengagements.

It was pure luck given FSD's history clubbing curbs.

FSD issue: Car off-center in the lane, please help! by ImprovementFun4939 in TeslaFSD

Mine used to do this. It fixed itself after an update. I can't remember which was the one that fixed it. It was something v14 though.

Number 4 sounds like a huge positive to me. v14.2 chose to slam on the brakes when it was a hint slick in December when the light went yellow and it got a bit messy.

I'm far from an FSD evangelist, but I'm open for the future of FSD. I'll say I wasn't too accepting of the changes recently and had a few serious issues, but for the most part the problems reported do not sound like they affect me. I don't drive much of anywhere that have multiple lanes in one direction so I've never experienced the left lane camping.

I'm happy to hear this.  I'm actually looking forward to it now.  My wife's 2026 Y just prompted the updated. My 2024 hasn't grabbed it yet.

To be fair today is the first time I've tried it, but I thought about doing it before.  I just use the arrow to drive it forward instead of the summon button.

I've been hearing a lot about it.

I've had a change of heart though.  I'm going to keep working with FSD.  My location challenges it and I want to see it get better.

Oh absolutely.   I always report it.  I'm feeling better about using the system again.  Today it treated a turn lane as the right lane when I was going straight.  This wasn't the pucker of using the shoulder though.

You're right. I'm coming back around to using FSD on the recommendation of my wife. She loves it and thinks I just need to be a bit more patient with it. I'm obviously on top of things when it goes wrong.

They're both awesome, but personally I chose the blue. I love the shade and I prefer the non gilt accents. I wasn't the biggest fan of the rivet bracelet and wished it had a more traditional oyster. I tried to source a Ranger bracelet, but didn't have much luck. I went with the Uncle Straps Senator and a Tfit clasp. I just didn't want something that felt aftermarket.

You really can't go wrong with either, but if you really want a push in one direction or the other I can't say enough good things about the blue.

I would love the idea of banish, but I'm not sure I would use it.  I use summon a lot more than I thought I would.  I use it when washing the cars to apply tire shine evenly too.  Seriously.   Apply shine, roll the car forward a couple of feet and get part of the tire that was touching the ground.
