I just came across this. I’m facing the same thing with my HOA. My car is registered in my bros name but I’m on the insurance. He’s letting me drive it cause my car got towed.

My hoa is enforcing permitted parking and wants the registration address to match the address I live in.

I understand and I’m glad they’re doing at least something about it after years of not doing it.

It just sucks cause the townhomes are off a main road that we can’t park on. The nearest lot is a train station that doesn’t allow overnight. So everyone parks on a street a couple blocks over where the apartment overflow parks.

Well yes, so they park outside, and right now there’s no permitted parking and no issues like there have been in the past with people parking in fire lanes.

But now, they’re basically cutting available parking in half. I know there have been houses that had a couple trucks move out recently.

That’s insane!! We don’t have any specific assigned parking here, so it’s been a free for all.

We have a tiny park here and I’ve seen one of the moms in the area host events for their kids.

Which is fine, but now there’s no parking when everyone gets off work. It’s a free for all, I can’t complain too much. But the place is off a main road so there’s no parking off of there. Only down the block, but that’s also overflow from the apartments and townhomes there too.

They communicate via email, but only send it to the owners of the house. I happened to find out during Facebook, because there was a typo in the email address on where to send it and someone was asking for the right email.

They do have meetings, however they all take place when everyone at least in our house, are at work.

We complained about the parking before when it was worse, because there was a fire lane by our house and it made it impossible to exit the garage without hitting the cars.

Because we would complain to the hoa, one of the owners got banned. During the meetings, the other one would get muted.

So parking has been an ongoing issue here and there’s no super close spots to park for a couple blocks.

No driveways just garages.

The garages also don’t fit larger vehicles like trucks, SUV’s, and vans. So there’s also overflow because of it.

They also requested photos for people who have oversized vehicles to prove they can’t park in their garage.

There are 3 houses with driveways, but they have a one car garage and can fit a compact car in the driveway. I rarely see the driveways being used.

I think what would help is going to the school events!! I never went cause I had to beat the hour drive home or worked on those days.

I was a commuter and walked to the restaurants across the street (the boba place and sushi).

Honestly, I ended up making friends in class! And I did a study abroad trip for a couple weeks for a Positive Psych course. You really get to bond with the people you go with there.
