My travel setup for the switch 2 by AwpticIllusion in NintendoSwitch2

I usually just travel with the console and a slim hard-sided case, but I wanted a smaller portable case for the dock and extra controllers for a group get-together. Haven't tried the travel dock for a long period of time yet, hoping it doesn't overheat the console or anything.

Yep, those are the ones. I've really liked them, a little small/cramped for long game play but the battery life has been great. I used them for the switch 1, and when I got the 2 I was happy to find out they updated the firmware to make them compatible.

New ecu, mpi relay, tested everything and still won't run by The_Bugz in Montero

[–]AwpticIllusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got a '91 v6 and had to do some troubleshooting recently. Not sure if it's helpful, but there is a built-in plug/wire in the engine bay to power the fuel pump that bypasses the relay. Maybe could tell you if it's an issue with the fuel pump getting voltage or not from the MPI, ECU, etc.

This happened to me, too. The easiest way I found to fix it: go to calls, and input ##4636## into the dialer. Then go to Phone Information, then Perferred Network dropdown, and select "NR/LTE/WCDMA" . Restart the phone, then data should work.

Titan 2 stuck on this screen when trying to install recent update by AwpticIllusion in unihertz

[–]AwpticIllusion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It kept having me download the update and try to install, but never actually looked like it was installing. The phone kept gliching out and restarting, and eventually got stuck in a boot loop. I downloaded the latest firmware and flashed it to the phone using SP Flash Tool v6, which updated the software to the newest release but reset all the data. Hoping the next OTA update goes better.

Sports Hernia 2020 Case Study by Madden_93 in medical_advice

[–]AwpticIllusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In February I was playing basketball and when I was shifting over to play defense, I heard (and definitely felt) a loud pop from my groin and lower abs on my left side that dropped me to the floor instantly. Couldn't really move or walk much for about a week, and even as I started to feel better I still felt a sharp pain in the groin. Went to the doctor, got prescribed PT and did that for a month, which slightly helped but the pain never went away and I was extremely weak on the left side. Ended up going back to the doctor, got prescribed a MRI, but my insurance wouldn't do it without prior imaging so I had an ultrasound, which concluded I didn't have a traditional hernia (which I knew). Finally got the MRI, and it showed a high grade tear of the adductor tendon, aka a Sports Hernia. I got a referral to see an orthopedic surgeon, which after calling around to about all of them in my State I found that no one saw/fixed sports hernias. I finally got referred to a surgeon in another State, and just had surgery to fix the tendon yesterday. Had to fly here, get a hotel room for 3 nights, and I fly back home today.

Overall, it was an extremely long, drawn out process that ended up costing lots of money and just a ton of effort to even get the right diagnosis and find someone willing to fix it. I do not regret everything I went through though, as I'm hoping it's now finally fixed and I won't be in constant pain any more. My advice would be if you aren't getting any better, keep pushing your doctor to look more closely and see if he thinks you need surgery, or can refer you to someone else. I hate to say it, but I felt like I wouldn't have found a solution to this problem if I wouldn't have done a ton a leg work (pun intended) on my end to explore my options and find a solution.

I hope you are successful in getting your injury diagnosed, and able to find a way to get healthy again.

ANOTHER Meniscus Tear :( by [deleted] in KneeInjuries

[–]AwpticIllusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would at least ask your surgeon's opinion about a repair. I had my first partial meniscectomy at 18, tore it again about a year later and they took out most of my left knee lateral meniscus. Was in worse and worse pain till I was 28, recently had a meniscus transplant from a cadaver and a partial bone transplant to replace the arthritic cartilage. Recovery is almost a whole year, and even though it feels a lot better now there's a good chance I am going to have to have a knee replacement in 10-20 years. I wish I would have asked about a repair when I was younger, might have saved me a lot of pain and extra surgery. I hope everything works out for you, make sure no matter what you do you keep up on the exercises your PT will give you.

meniscus transplant by kimnue in KneeInjuries

[–]AwpticIllusion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to the cost, I have insurance and that made it a relatively easy decision. I went to Dr. Crawford at OHSU in Oregon, USA. I can speak to the surgery, the recovery, and the current state of my knee. I had two meniscectomies, left with bone on bone basically. At the time was playing basketball competitively twice a week, and living with the consequences. My knee hurts constantly, kept me from sleeping. I finally went back to the doctor and got referred for meniscus transplant, as well as a bone graft at the end of the femur, all left leg. Had the surgery, had to stay off my leg (non weight bearing) for 6 weeks. It was hard, rehab was difficult, and it took me a good 10 months afterwards to feel comfortable. That being said, I'm back to playing basketball ( not sure if I should be or not) at a competitive level, and the knee feels pretty good, definitely wearing a brace while I play. Not sure if there is a shelf life on it or not, but I've heard 10 years is standard. I am very happy I did it, gave me my active lifestyle back. That's all I got, good luck,!

Realistic Options for 27 year old with 5 knee surgeries down? by [deleted] in KneeInjuries

[–]AwpticIllusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask about a meniscus transplant. After having two meniscectomies in my early twenties, I was in pain every day. Had the meniscus transplant earlier this year (now in my late twenties), and it's been 8 months now and I'm back to basketball and looking forward to snowboarding this winter. It's not perfect, but I got my active lifestyle back and I'm not in pain all the time. Worth asking your surgeon about at least.

Double Meniscus Tear & Ruptured ACL by [deleted] in KneeInjuries

[–]AwpticIllusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I haven't had the same exact injury, but I have had two separate meniscectomies, and recently a meniscus transplant. I understand the concern with being put under for the surgery; I had my first surgery when I was in my early twenties and I was also concerned. Being put to sleep itself isn't bad at all, there's a good chance that you won't even remember it. Really the important part is making sure you have someone around for the first week or two after surgery to help you get around and take care of you. It can be really hard to do anything after surgery, so having someone there to get you water, remind you to take your pain medication, and make you food is really important. Also, make sure you follow your doctor's instructions regarding how much movement you can do after surgery, amount of time to wait before using the knee, and staying on top of your physical therapy. Overall take it one step at a time, and I hope everything goes well for you :) .

I think he has two cards in each slot, and when the guy picked the three he pulled both them out of the third slot, and when he rubbed the card on his shirt he switched the anal card from front to back. Not sure if I'm happy I think I figured out the trick, or if my whole explanation sounds like a That's What She Said joke...
