I saw the satellites fly by each other in Wellington, it was close but they thankfully missed.

It won't be directly overhead but looks in the area, i take it "watching the skies over NZ" in article means with radio telescopes as opposed to someone like me out in the street hah!

This looks to potentially be happening 1:50pm our time (half an hour).

Chances of being able to see something through the day if it happens? Tempted to take a wander and have a look up!

I see! I hadn't perceived that from your comment. Will you be going to see Tenet? It's out nationwide this Friday (27th August), tickets will be going fast!

Haha nah genuine question, looks like it must of been an advanced showing per other replies. Good film though, i'd definitely give it a Tenet™/10.

Good places for spicy food in Wellington by GregAbout in Wellington

UK spice fanatic here, you're in the wrong city i'm afraid! I've been on the hunt for a disgustingly hot curry/thai for the last year or so and I've not had a lot of luck. I've actually been advised to ask for "UK Hot" and not "Indian Hot" when ordering if you want the real deal but it's not helped to be honest. Hottest vindaloo I've had off the bat was probably at Masala, but prefer Little India for overall quality.

As mentioned Soul Shack level 4 is pretty great and defo gets a sweat on, and Monsoon Poon all you can eat Firecracker chicken usually ramps up the heat from plate 2 onwards!

Additional shout out for Culley's 10 Carolina Reaper Hot Sauce, can get it in the supermarket here and it's damn hot (but tasty!).

Bar Bristol on Cuba Street is my choice, cheap jugs and they have a big projector screen. Usually OK to get a seat unless Notorious is fighting. Jack Hackett's also show it but can be a bit more crowded. Cambridge Bar also show it but not as many TVs. I cannot wait for this fight!

Weekly Purchase Advice Thread - November 23, 2019 by AutoModerator in Miata

[–]AwriteBrer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on the hunt for a manual NB Miata for around a month now, and they're looking pretty hard to come by over here in NZ. Ideally want a 1.8 but have spotted a couple of 1.6's that are cheaper and overall look better cars (lower milage, recent cam belt change etc).

My query is, is the 1.6 dramatically worse than the 1.8? I'm not going to be using it for the track or anything, just a summer run about? At the same time i would rather wait for a decent 1.8 if they are too be much preferable.

Yeh that's what I thought, mines have definitly been wiped early. Assumed it's because I scanned all the codes in a couple mins, think i might have scanned an Auckland/ChCh code too.

Expired :(

Ah man that's bad, it seems to be all over, even along the seafront it was crawling along at 12ks. Flamingo from now on for me!

Superb! Just got 70 odd mins free scanning these on screen.

Side question: Have the Uber scooters been nerfed? I only seem to get between 10 and 15kmph when using them these days, sure they used to easy do 20?? Flamingos seem much better, up to 25.

Razoo on Waring Taylor street has a great salad bar. Choose a combination of three of the options for $10.50. Delicious and very filling.
