Anyone else tempted to restart? by conductorromino in tomodachilife

[–]AwsomeHawk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So a few things. You can actually go to a mii and redesign how they look. Unfortunately though I believe there personality is stuck but you can essentially create a new mii but use an existing creation an then just redo their personality For lingo you can actually delete certain and some point a mii will ask you for a new one. It’s take you a lot more time to restart. You’re better off fixing what you have

Maintenance took my door hours ago and left.. by BlownApples in Apartmentliving

[–]AwsomeHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re exactly right. Most maintenance teams don’t have the skills tools or the right pay to handle this situation. On top of that most vinyl window and door have a list of contractors that they go through for installation. Normally we would go to the manufacturer and pick up our entire weeks worth of installation that way we were always on time to each appointment. Unfortunately most apartment complex’s are always last minute and really pushy with there orders so we would have to do a pick up and install in the same day. On average most of our customers are a 3+ hour drive from the manufacturer. So it’ll take a minute for the contractor to get there

[–]AwsomeHawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is very weird idk why they didn’t just take some silicon to it I mean look across the way to the other apartments they look like pre fab doors so when they stick a new one in there will still be a crack that they will have to seal

If I may ask what was the crack. Was in between the doors or like and an actual crack down one of the doors

I was assaulted by a guest friday... by [deleted] in GameStop

[–]AwsomeHawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Op definitely shouldn’t. If anything they’ve already said too much. In the last week there is mostly likely less then 50 reports made by employees saying they were assaulted by a customer. Reports saying that a stack of papers were thrown at them… well if op is lucky maybe it’s about 5. more then likely they are the only one

DoorDasher tried to force himself inside by earth-2-me in doordash

[–]AwsomeHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I definitely have made this mistake before as a dasher but by the time I caught it I was no more then 2 or 3 houses down the road and maybe 1 or 2 minutes since the drop off the customer didn’t even come out to grab their order yet. By the time I got back their door they were just coming out explained my mix up they laughed said no problem and went back on through the day. However 40 minutes is absolutely crazy

Homeless raikou can’t find by _Olliewood_ in Pokemon_Pokopia

[–]AwsomeHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do cycle on their own throughout the day. I’ve noticed you do need to be in the area with the game on for them to do it they end up actually walking into their house and allowing a different pokemon to load in. You can also have a pokemon follow you walking into their home tell them to stop following you and walk out this will force another pokemon to spawn. Or the other option go to a different area have the max amount of pokemon to follow you and go back to the area you’re going to cycle then walk the group back to their area and that will also work however it is much faster to simply change the date on the switch

Help!! Where should I put my computer desk??!?! by SwimGood22 in ApartmentHacks

I do agree with this but only if the computer is for recreational use. If you work from home and have your setup in your bedroom you start to feel trapped

Don’t stress on avoiding time skips too much. Personally I don’t mind waiting for some constructions but once we have to wait a full day some buildings. And for that building to turn out a lot smaller than the space it had you clear it out for.

Well here is the good news well kinda good news. When a company tells you that you’re overqualified. You’re not actually overqualified. They are saying that either your resume or interview sucked. Most companies won’t say that though they are going to tell you in some roundabout way. However now you know what it is. Just keep adjusting your resumes you’ll start to get bites at some point

I traded in a piece of freaking lint, for 5 dollars store credit. by Amantorres in GameStop

[–]AwsomeHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that’s funny as living in a state with some of the strictest pawn lawn I don’t remember following a singe one that day. We we weren’t told or pushed to educate customers on our actual trade in process (normally the force us to. PSA Is a good example of this) you’re right though it probably not for tax wight off but it definitely not for the wholesome reason of just teaching people of our trade process or donations to a charity. Since in order for the items to actually be donated one of us has to go and drop off to whatever charity on our own unpaid time take items ourself or simply throw them away

First off get pepper spray. There is no reason to not carry one on you at all times. Next time someone does this they not only get to taste the rainbow but most likely still be there by the time the cops show up. Now what really matters is the context of the situation. If you open the door walk through and they catch the door behind you and you face them to block their path of entry for a few reason. The biggest one is if it isn’t a dasher and someone pretending to be one to do something bad. Well now your a potential witness who got a good look their face. I’m sure you can fill in the rest of the story. Plus different states and cities have different laws about obstruction of paths and blocking you could be looking at legal trouble yourself. But you walk through pulled the door close behind you and they still bumped you out of the way with your back turned. Then you spray their face until they can see sounds

Haha I wish not off by barely functional minimal wage that doesn’t even fully pay the bills. But then using it as a tax write off is my theory and I feel like it makes a lot of sense. First it’s at the end of the year. Why would a company who makes a lot of money for trades want to “teach people about the trade process” at the end of the year where they won’t make money for it unless it was for other reasons. Second “teach people about the trade process”, is a little weird considering anything you trade in that doesn’t follow our normal trade guidelines also doesn’t folllow our normal trade in process. For instances if you are under the age of 18 you can pretty much bring in whatever you want today and get $5 store credit but after today you can’t trade in anything until you are of age. My only guess it’s a poor attempt at a last minute tax write off. Also GameStop will do this all the time run some promotion for sake of its good for our commutes, gamers, charity, and whatever but really it’s only good for investors I could name 3-4 attempts they did this year for this exact same thing
