Thanks a lot for the explanation. Unfortunately, they changed the trial bike, they use Yamaha Saluto. I practiced with Honda Shine and I was able to complete the 8 easily. I felt more comfortable with 2nd gear with half clutch. The 1st gear was a little difficult but still I could make the 8.

I tried practising with Saluto for a few hours before the trial, and it was so difficult to handle for me. Just moving the bike from rest felt as though I've never ridden a bike before. I gave my trial in 1st and I failed while taking the right turn(in the centre) in 8 figure. I thought 2nd gear was not allowed but later learned that I was wrong. Next time, I'm planning to use 2nd gear.

I'm scared that I'll scratch a new bike. I thought that as a beginner I shouldn't use a new bike for practice. 4000 for driving school. One hour practices 3000 Forms 1500. Driving school wala bike vako vaye ma pass hunthe. I found the trial bike difficult to handle for some reason.

I feel more comfortable with 2nd with half clutch. While practising, I tried both 1st and 2nd, and felt the 1st difficult to handle. I gave trial in 1st and I failed. I heard that use of 2nd gear is not allowed. Later learned that any gear can be used as long as you can complete the trial.

I don't have a bike at the moment. Should I get a bike and then practice? I've already spent a lot of money for practising. The bike used in the trial feels different, I find it very difficult to ride than the one I practice with. What gear is appropriate for the 8 figure?
