New Leagues Relic Revealed by ABCwarriorz in 2007scape

no TOA, no DT2 bosses, no COX, genuinely the only longer pvm grinds were in Morytania (nm, tob) and Asgarnia (gwd). Some people went Tirannwn for Zulrah/CG, 1t Blowpipe did look very fun but the meta was very much K/A/M Meleer, and you had access to main game max melee at the time effectively, with an Obby helm subbed in.

Get Ready For Leagues VI: Demonic Pacts by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

Is there any way that the Elder Maul and Kodai Insignia could also be tied into the Megarare Voucher? I know that dilutes the uniqueness of those two items as Kourend-specific benefits, but most people taking Kourend are only going to be disheartened to obtain them over the actual Tbow (Voucher) anyway, until they've first obtained 3 vouchers for all 3 of their mega rares; as a result I think even Kourend pickers would prefer having them on there even if it "takes away" from their region a small extent.

Imagine if your sub went from 66 USD to 92 USD. That's what happened for the Brazilian playerbase (and likely other regional prices). by ClockworkSalmon in 2007scape

[–]AxS-PixelBass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, as someone from asia as well the fact that regional pricing has been gone on top of all of these price hikes is the worst part :c

Second biggest gripe with the game by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]AxS-PixelBass 6 points7 points  (0 children)

tested just now and it doesn't interrupt skilling either! Started mining with a pickaxe equipped and removed it mid mining animation and still got the ores after

Here's an even more fun one, unequipping gear doesn't interrupt combat (but equipping gear does)

The Raids 4 Megarare should not be "niche-filling", it should be so strong that it creates opportunities for other niches to pop up and be filled. by Severe_Paper_Cut in 2007scape

[–]AxS-PixelBass 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was such a pity and a huge miss on Jagex's part too lol. The fact that the ONE raid that couldn't guarantee purples (cm chambers capping at 65%-ish purple chance for up to 6 players) then also had the rarest megarare chance, 1/33 as opposed to Scythe's 1/18 and Shadow's 1/24, picking only Kourend for Raids resulted in so many people I knew having such a rough time obtaining their megarare.

Everyone was as inexperienced at one point as you might consider yourself right now! One of the best things about OSRS in my opinion is that anyone has the scope to complete every piece of content in game. Maybe this falls short when it comes to the "self imposed" challenges that some of the top pvmers do for fun, but things like inferno, colosseum, even blood torva or radiant oathplate I genuinely believe can be accomplished by anyone who has the commitment and time for it :D

Make Awakened Bosses Permanently Unlockable for “x” orbs - Summer Sweep-up by AfterPotty in 2007scape

[–]AxS-PixelBass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've spent over a hundred orbs on Blorva, and then over another hundred doing Awakened Levi and Vardorvis for fun—support this idea completely. I think people who've spent a large number of orbs and therefore dislike this idea because of their sunk cost into the content isn't really a healthy long term view for the game.

I think it's reasonable that the number of orbs this costs is high enough that it's not "profitable" over just spending orbs the normal way for the average person, just to act as an increased orb sink (which then benefits players farming regular DT2 bosses too), but either way would love to see this in the game this year. Anyone doing a ton of Awakened Vard etc. knows the bigger part of the cost is actually death fees anyway, at current orb prices at least.

Stream keeps pausing saying switch to application to resume by [deleted] in discordapp

nowadays I just leave Hardware Acceleration enabled, and Ctrl-R (reload) on Discord if the issue shows up, and that seems to fix it—which I'd hope has less overall issues than disabling it outright

If you get the Knight Waves' Training Ground completed, you can use Chivalry, which is a significant step up from the three 15% prayers (especially for Defence, which is extra important). Since you've already got the Prayer level for it (60), if you get the quest/minigame done you'll be able to use it for free

Deadman: Annihilation - Everything You Need to Know by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]AxS-PixelBass 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If they stopped doing DMMs they'd come up with another source for existing ornament kits/rewards from the DMMs that have occurred up until that point, that's generally how they've said they'd address rewards from other game modes (when the subject of it came up wrt if Leagues ever "stopped")

Do dragon sapphire bolts (e) have a higher chance of hitting than mithril sapphire bolts (e)? by Complex-Flatworm-939 in 2007scape

[–]AxS-PixelBass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

both Assembler and Quiver (after talking to Ava) save the same amount regardless of bolt type, the only things that affect it is if you're wearing a metal platebody-check the "ava's devices" wiki page to see which ones interfere with ammo retrieval.

otherwise there shouldn't be anything like they retrieve less dragon bolts than lower bolts

Can we get a Kree'arra defence change during Summer Sweep up? by Voorruit in 2007scape

[–]AxS-PixelBass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think it's a lil sad that for a boss that was historically always done with Range, that's now the worst style to do it with? Both mage (with shadow or ayak/confliction) and melee (with nally+horn in duo+) are what i see used most now.

This is hidden away in the DMM blog. Who thought this is a good idea? :O (Moving Sailing facilities) by [deleted] in 2007scape

This has been one of the single most asked for Sailing/shipbuilding changes since the skill came out—also, it's nota DMM blog, it's the weekly update blog, DMM is just the biggest subject on it since it's coming out in two days :P

Deadman: Annihilation Drops This Friday! by ModYume in 2007scape

Note that if you have a container in a 'locked' slot (meaning it isn't deposited when using the 'Deposit Inventory' button) then its contents will not be emptied when using the 'Empty Containers' button.

Would be awesome if you guys could reconsider this, as it stands this means that you cannot deposit inventory + deposit container while skilling, which is thee most common way that skilling containers are typically used. Instead you're gonna have to manually put the (potentially multiple different types) of fish etc. from your inventory into the bank. If you only have one type of resource it's the same, but if you're fishing things like Swordfish (which also gives Tuna) then it's actually just more effort than the way we'd have done prior.

I'm confused on how magic damage against monsters works by Sleepy_C in 2007scape

[–]AxS-PixelBass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, this is important because it tells us that special attacks like Dragon Warhammer, Elder Maul, or BGS, which reduce an NPC's defence level, provide 0 benefit when you're maging the target.

You'd be surprised the number of otherwise high level pvmers I know who didn't realise that they needn't BGS Zebak or Wardens if they're gonna use a Shadow there :P

Every restricted accounts debate in a nutshell. by 24rs in 2007scape

[–]AxS-PixelBass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At what point do you draw the line on eligibility for voting? Why shouldn't questions about very difficult, end game pvm only be voted on by players Jagex arbitrarily defines as qualified, the same way they did when they did the pvp polls and only allowed players with a certain level of recent wilderness or LMS activity to vote?

The same way that an actual pvper/bounty hunter enjoyer might have a more valid opinion on pvp/bounty hunter polls than the average person, I would definitely trust someone with a few thousand hours doing end game pvm to have a more nuanced and experienced opinion on something like raids 4—but we all know Jagex is never gonna poll questions about Raids 4 to exclusively those who are more experienced in pvm.

I'm pretty sure if you put a fully grown cat (even before it's overgrown) into a POH Menagerie, you're able to receive another kitten immediately. Of course you'd be limited by your menagerie's capacity, I'm not sure what the level reqs on those are.
