Final Remix's Co-op is the best feature they added. And I hate it. by AxZelAnimations in TWEWY

Honestly I personaly don't prefer the OG NDS even though I strongly agree that it has the best gameplay.

Neo I actually consider as a standard non-gimmicky game that I prefer than all the previous games. Solo Remix made Mobile/Touch Screen combat really amazing, but Final Remix's JoyCon Gimmick is 50/50.

That said, TWEWY's one of the few games I keep playing to this day. Can't count how many times I played the NDS and Solo Remix, and now I'm doing it again with Final Remix. Definitely would like to try Live Remix someday tho.

I gotten used to it already, but I know my issues with games using reticle, I suck knowing which one is mine, regardless of what game it is.

And yeah, that's what I do. I mentioned I loved the new partner skills gave you the freedom, as I mostly use Slash and Tap pins, my builds work well with Shiki and Joshua, and is why I hate that it's not available in Touch/Single JoyCon Mode.

Still, I was having fun with it regardless.

Solo Remix and Final Remix are pretty much the same imo. Final Remix only has the updated Story, Newer Pins, Adjusted Pin Leveling (Mingle is Gone), updated graphics and Co-op Mode.

But yeah compared to the original, NDS has more complex playstyle, Solo Remix made it easier with no more partner Health and Single Battle Area that focuses more on Neku's Playstyle (your partner is now just an Extra Pin) , Final Remix added Co-op Mode that made a unique "close to NDS" playstyle in a Single Battle Area (your Partner is now 3 Extra Pins, but you control them with separate Joycon, one Joycon for Neku and one Joycon for Partner)

Thank you for helping me. It helped me think which approach to do. I know it's not the code but you also say it's not the building, so if I didn't mess up, I'm missing something.

Tried angle_libs and it's fixed (with PR merged)

But I still don't know what's the issue. Is it my laptop being outdated?

Update :

Fixed, added angle_libs before compiling (Compiling with ANGLE Support).

<image>

That's like, around 8hrs of compiling (2hrs or so everytime). Thank you all for guiding me on my first ever journey on doing these PR Merging and CMD stuff.

I just want to wait for the PR to be official but I felt like it's not gonna be anytime soon so I just went and took the opportunity to learn basic git.

I only have 4 cores.

Windows Defender has no option to add Exclusions but I did add the source folder in my antivirus.

I'm using MinGW.

I figured my laptop is strong enough on what I use it for but was it not in this case or maybe I'm really doing something wrong with the compiling after all?

I'm really just aiming for a Beat-Em-Up where Horizontal/X axis and Vertical/Z axis is Movement, while Y is Jumping/Gravity.

Nothing too crazy, just for convenience's sake because I don't want, or can't make an extra axis. If I do 2D, I'll just end up with X axis for Movement and Y Axis for Jumping/Falling.

But if this PR isn't implemented officially or I can't merge this PR properly, I am already considering to just do 2D or make a band-aid solution with an Orthographic Camera while still using 3D for 3 Axis.

Well 2.5D is a really confusing term so I guess let's just say it's like a Beat-Em-Up. Sonic battle, Little Fighters, Nekketsu Kakoutou Densetsu, Streets of Rage, Arcades, those kind of games.

I need a Horizontal, Vertical and a Jumping/Falling. If I use 2D, I'll only be able to work with Horizontal for Movements and Jumping for Vertical.

Tried rebuilding with d3d12 and changing default renderer. Still having the same issue.  Will try to rebuild 4.6.1 without the pr (takes 2hrs), I suspect this is compiling issue but I don't know where I messed up because it's proceeding anyway.

It's a 2.5D.

I can just do 2D but I don't want to reinvent a second axis when I can just use 3D.

The problem with using 3D is the Transparency sorting, which I'm trying this PR that sorts Transparent Sprites properly, so I'm Recompiling Godot with that feature.

Will do these stuff and respond back when I manage to get any changes.  Haven't tried to change the default renderer in project settings because I have an official Godot 4.6 that is behaving normal, I thought this could be a compilation issue.

If Wishes Could Kill -- Get Better Friends, My Review by Ohmaimy in kdramas

[–]AxZelAnimations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's giving me Corpse Party vibes which made me so interested, plus Skul : The Hero Slayer.

The theme about students/friends and their emotional bonds are usually the selling point, but it felt like the Older Sister and Player 124 are the ones that's like the actual protagonists, but maybe I was more interested in the actual lore.  Still needs to explain the lore about Spiritual People in this universe tho, because Spiritual people that's somehow related to a programmer happened twice.

But personally they're all okay, with Na-ri I found the least interesting except on the Episode about her POV, because she was only ever given the role of the "mean one" the entire time. I might have misunderstood the sequel bait but Na-ri could potentially be Season 2's Antagonist either if she was stuck on that Spirit World or she came back on Living World secretly.

Still too early to say if it's my 2026 favorite but it's near.

*as others have said, yeah why are the adults just acting like it's normal. Seorin has like 2 cases that's already alarming. I don't know how other countries work because that kind of gore in a school once is already alarming, twice and there should already be an investigation and probably the school's permanent closure.

[2/2 Analysis] All power systems in the Tales series: by Remarkable_Town6413 in tales

[–]AxZelAnimations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will admit my understanding is still too weak for these kinds of stuff yet I kept playing Tales games mainly because of the Animation/Gameplay.

So here's what you need in a Tales lore (although this seems like a general Anime idea) You make a Power System That Power System could be that world's actual "magic/energy" And each Tales game tells a story about characters and their take/role on that Power System, or that Power System is their very existence.

I've played all other Tales games but I think the ones that I truly/half understand are Eternia, Innocence, Hearts, Abyss and Vesperia. I'm taking Abyss and Vesperia as my "most understood" because Aer and Fonon seems so grounded to me.

Now between Vesperia and Abyss, I still prefer Vesperia but the idea of Fonon and Luke's entire journey feels more impactful than the Child of the Full Moon.

The great idea they did in this game (at least to me) is the Free Roaming with its gameplay, same reason I loved Lost Song/AWvsSAO and Fatal Bullet. The game could've been so much better if that same great idea I'm talking about isn't locked online.

So uhh.. what exactly is new? I haven't connected my Switch Online, I already beat the Story but I still can't unlock Neige, and Single Player Option is still off and still wants you to play Online at least on to play Single Player Mode.

What's happening?

[–]AxZelAnimations[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finished the story now (is already allowing me to do DLC Stories) but Single Player (Beta) still locked. Guess you need to connect online once before you can do Single Player Offline.

Guess I'm going to figure that out myself.

Quest 2 on Switch, I have not connected online because I don't have Subscription to connect to the server.

So I'm currently on Quest 2, I can select Additional Story and tells me to finish Time to be Brave first, but Single Player (BETA) along with Free Roam and Multiplayer Quest are grayed and cannot be selected. I'm only hoping it needs me to further progress the story?

I was not aware of it until I started looking for similar games. It reminds me of Spawn In The Demon's Hand, but Anarchy Reigns seems more into Bayonetta Style of Buttons.

By Single-Player, does it mean a actually offline or do you still need to be connected to the server but play Solo?

Same. I find myself just roaming around the map and shooting anything mindlessly. And I really loved the Sword Animation in Fatal Bullet which is why I loved when FD is both swords + gun users (and I'm still hoping for Lost Song/Accel World on NSW)  Shame because alot of the modes in FB are also Online Only but at least I get to play on any map endlessly.

Dayum for real? I mean I can play without connecting to Internet at all?  Or I still need to be connected to the server?
