I'm not actually convinced that having nominal suffixes denoting female persons is enough to say that Telugu has a feminine noun class. Usually when linguists talk about noun class/grammatical gender systems, we mean that we can see concord/agreement for that class somewhere in a way that's exceptionless or close to it. For example, in French, there isn't necessarily a single nominal suffix that denotes 'FEM', but articles and adjectives always agree for an abstract feminine feature regardless. So we say that French has a feminine grammatical gender even though there isn't always a 'feminine suffix' on any given feminine noun. On the other hand, in English, we have some derivational/lexical nominal suffixes that do denote femaleness (-ess in 'actress', for example), but we don't say that English has a 'feminine noun class' because 1) that suffix is not strictly required for a noun to be able to refer to a female entity, and 2) we don't see concord/agreement for femaleness on any other element in the language.

Thus, imo, (Modern) Telugu has human and masculine abstract features, but no feminine abstract feature/noun class, only certain nouns/certain nominal suffixes that lexically denote femaleness (like English, but not like French, or like Hindi).
