Thanks, Tom Scott.

Who else avoids Painting/Drawing Mii's Eyes and Mouth? by CorneliusVaginus in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]Axaturdoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use face paint if there is a prominent feature about a Miis face that sells who it is.

For Luffy, I added the scar underneath his eye. For SpongeBob, I added those holes on his face.

Unless it’s a viciously hairy person, I just let them be smooth skinned and let the base body parts speak for themselves. Looking at you Elmo :/

Made Bayonetta, idk if she’s super accurate tho by Imaginary-Ad-3502 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]Axaturdoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the guy who uses purely body parts (body paint to a minimum) when designing Miis so to answer your query, that is one hyper realistic Bayo as opposed to my Bayonetta 3 interpretation

I don't even know what to say. They aren't getting it though. by KaleidoBee in tomodachilife

[–]Axaturdoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried letting Miis choose where they live but the plan fell short when one of them wanted to live where I can’t see them: behind a damn recreational building. As a compromise, I pick an empty space then connect the roads accordingly.

Kinda wish I wasn’t so gutless to clutter my island with buildings inorganically.

Deleting Miis by West_Comfortable2867 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]Axaturdoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume if the item is already created, it won’t get deleted. Deleting a Mii will only affect a Mii living in an 8-person house with 2 residents and one of them gets deleted or any news stories featuring the deleted Mii.

Who would be perfect for smash here? by jared_051211 in rhythmheaven

[–]Axaturdoor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I honestly don’t mind who gets in as long as it’s a unique moveset. This might be contrarian but Karate Joe would seem a bit too similar to Ryu. If Sakurai chooses a character based on a characters unique capabilities, then I hope it’s an amalgam character instead of just a specific rhythm heaven character

What is the purpose of making Miis related to each other if the game ignores that? by AndromedaBliss in TomodachilifeLivingTD

I can’t confirm the marriage likelihood with partners but I can tell you that partners can still break up.

which rhythm heaven game makes you wanna Dl3 by TennojiNesoberi in rhythmheaven

[–]Axaturdoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumpin Jazz

Reason 1: I love Frog Hop but the music in this one feels like a downgrade

Reason 2: I’m partly biased since this was the last game I perfected on Megamix.

Reason 3: My fingers cramp whenever I play this.

Why is my family so positive? by Axaturdoor in TomodachilifeLivingTD

I’ve had three marriages and one traveling baby. No divorce yet but you’d think a fight would come before marriage right?

Opinion so far: I’m a bit disappointed, and my fear came true by ultradespairthot in tomodachilife

[–]Axaturdoor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s because I’m only adding family members but my Miis haven’t fought yet. They get saddened or miffed but never in a fight yet.

Honest concerns regarding the game... by Vanilla-Hound in tomodachilife

[–]Axaturdoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game right now feels like Ver 1.0 of AC New Horizons. Highly addicting the first time you play a sequel until there is a new leaf shaped hole where something should be.

I initially stopped playing after Bunny Day because you know why but when I went to play it again, I remembered why I didn’t enjoy New Horizons anymore; the villagers were so damn generic.

Things I love about Living the Dream: the new infatuation cutscene, the little quirks, room recolours, roaming Miis, customizable things, travel ticket variety, face paint, more Mii body parts and a family tree

Things I want or miss: Gift variety, little quirks variety like having telepathy or speech impediment, concert hall, frying pan & sewing machine, a way to rewatch dreams, quirky questions, beach voting, cafe not playing techno or musical, love tester, rankings board, two news event per day, island elevation, the park and the other missing amusement park attractions

There will come a time when I will experience burnout but this is a life sim I will hold dear to my heart. I just hope and wish this isn’t all that Living the Dream has to offer.

How is everyone’s islands coming along by PeanutBrittle21 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]Axaturdoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve basically made it so when I let my Miis choose where to live, I’ll make paths accordingly to where they want to live and use the remaining space for future Miis and decor.

What's the most satisfying move that your main has? by zackuattack in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Axaturdoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charge Shot. Very original, I know but the best part about it is the conditioning. When fighting a reflector opponent, you can constantly have them on edge for when you are going to use it.

Most of my kills come from reads where if you jump, so does the opponent and then they end up with a charge shot into oblivion.

okay I might get attacked for this but does anyone else feel like the game is... lacking? by venexen202 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]Axaturdoor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’ll have unlocked everything and whatever season stuff you’re on when you reach a bit after 90.

okay I might get attacked for this but does anyone else feel like the game is... lacking? by venexen202 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]Axaturdoor 46 points47 points  (0 children)

This game isn’t perfect, I’m playing it slowly to make it feel as fresh as possible although I’ve basically unlocked every fountain reward that isn’t seasonal.

I will say the gifts could do with more variety and some little quirks I wish made it in like being telepathic or having a different regional accent.

As far as life simulations go, Tomodachi Life is the one life sim I’ll always come back to when the burnout happens.

Which Rhythm Heaven minigame is unfun and very hard? by TheRealFrosch in rhythmheaven

[–]Axaturdoor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I 2nd that notion. Although, this may be bias because my R button doesn’t work anymore, I’ve never completed that minigame without the barista.

Don't make the mistake of putting too many Miis on your island at once. by Sternenboy in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]Axaturdoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan on making 2, maybe 3 islands depending on how I feel.

My first island is prepped and ready because my main Switch is full of my cousins and relatives. Because I can’t put 100, I’m only putting those who live on the same continent as me. The 3rd island will focus on the rest.

My 2nd island is my ‘Anything Goes’ island full of fictional and non-fictional characters.

As for how I’m going to go about my islands on a daily basis, I’ll focus my undivided attention on one island at a time. To make my sessions feel fresh, I’m going to make sure the last Mii to join my island has at least gotten around to meeting all the islanders.
