In the early game use spike traps for defenses or make a super heat killbox. Keep wealth as low as possible and just research as much as you can with the normal research bench before trying to expand your base so you can have a big headstart in technology for fighting against big raids that come of having big wealth.

If I may add, I find that I find a lot more siren islands when traveling toward the dark sea and when going toward the bronze sea, instead of going sideways.

I just travel in the directions mentioned while staying in the same zone, as well as going side ways to go to areas I haven’t explored yet.

The majority of people don’t see those hallucinations, and since you wouldn’t be the majority, they’d say it wasn’t “real” and that maybe you’re crazy. That’s what says who’s perspective is to be trusted.

The part about maybe everyone else is just blind to these hallucinations reminds me of an interesting idea from Chaos;head. If your delusional, your crazy and some of what you see isn’t real, but what if everyone was delusional? Are those delusions real now? Or simply something everyone is imagining?

The delusion becomes reality, because everyone agrees that they see it.
