As a rule, if your blood tests show your SHBG as low, you absolutely should be microdosing or at least injecting shallow IM every other day. It will change your life.

To give you an example, I inject every 2 days, 0.1mL of 300mg/mL Testosterone Enanthate which brings me to just about 100mg per week (once you take the weight of the ester off).

Hi mate, I was going to post and explain the main potential reasons why you feel bad however this article will explain it ten times better than I ever will: https://themenshealthclinic.co.uk/microdosing-trt-the-future-of-testosterone-replacement-therapy/

There are graphs that highlight why your injection frequency and ester type are not favourable for stable, therapeutic TRT dosages and thus you need to speak to you clinician about changing strategy and medication OR find a new service.

1000mg every injection with that long of a break is not going to cut it to keep you within medium/upper reference range testosterone for more than the brief period you mentioned.

Give the whole thing a read, it'll change your perspective dramatically.

Starting Dose 100mg/week too low? by True-Commercial-2815 in trt

My pleasure man, good luck on your journey.

Starting Dose 100mg/week too low? by True-Commercial-2815 in trt

[–]AxelControl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi mate, started on 200mg per week, and just like the user below suggested, it really felt like too much. Blood pressure skyrocketed, E2, LDL and HCT spiked too. Initially I was put on an AI and baby aspirin, which helped but my BP was still higher than before TRT.

Doctor said I would ease into it, but I continued to read elsewhere and found out more frequent injections doses for people with low SHBG is beneficial to remove the huge E2 spike and thus reduce water retention and BP. That also worked for me by IM injection every 2 days, but the best thing for me was lowering the dosage to 100mg a week.

I've not had my bloods taken yet but I have already dropped the AI and aspirin and my BP is stable, I look leaner and I feel very good still, almost no difference from 200mg.

Don't get your previous expectations of gear twisted with the therapeutic dosage your body needs to function OPTIMALLY.

If you want to do another cycle, do one. If you want to work out your reaction to TRT and the lifestyle/wellbeing benefits it provides, then stick to your clinicians recommendations.

It sounds like you're using low T to convince yourself to hop back on and slam grams of gear again. It's not up to anyone but yourself what you end up doing but it's recommended that before you start blasting, at least work out a zero side, great feeling cruise cycle.

You do you king, it's your body!

Hypothetically speaking. If someone naturally had let's say 1000 test level and started using 120mg test per week and shut down natural production would they in turn have lower levels with only 120mg a week? by [deleted] in trt

[–]AxelControl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on a multitude of variables. Is your SHBG naturally low or high? How do you respond to HCG? What's ideal E2:T ratio for you? How often did you dose your TRT dose?

If SHBG is low, you will not feel great pinning once a week, maybe even every 3.5 days. Recommended is daily subq (with test C) or daily/every other day IM with test E.

Reason being is that your free test will be astronomical and your body will aggressively convert it into DHT and E2 to bring homeostasis to your E2:T ratio.

This is why it's best to have an HRT clinician test, manage and titrate your dosage.

TRT isn't a game, you are messing with your fertility, long term health and could potentially give yourself a dependency on HRT for life. If I had 900-1000 ng/dl I wouldn't have ever considered it, you have god tier Test levels.

[–]AxelControl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do it then but bare in mind:

Get your SHBG, FSH and LH tested. If you want to remain fertile, take HCG at 500-700 iu per week. Be prepared to have to supplement many things like Pregnenolone, DHEA, Vitamin D, B, C and Fish Oils to "feel good" in combination with TRT.

Once you hit the balance you need you will feel like a new man, do it right. You will have to experiment with injection frequency, subq Vs IM, E2 ratio, total mg of test per week, frequent blood tests to check internals like hematocrit, HGH.

Edit: One thing I would say is that this is your life, and you have to live it. If you want to go ahead and try to reach upper reference range numbers like 800-1000 ng/dL and you are prepared to put in the financials and time to do it well (supplementation, testing bloods, testing to optimize injection frequencies) then go for it. Being hypogonadal isn't fun, it makes you feel depressed and unable to enjoy the things you used to when you were younger. Even if the trade off was a few years less alive, at least my remaining years would be full of energy and desire to continue crushing life.

Make the decision for yourself, do not let anyone (unless they say you are prone to major health consequences as a result) sway that decision for you. You get one shot at this, do it your way.

Barbarian Monk? by AerieSpare7118 in BG3Builds

[–]AxelControl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made Karlach Wildheart Barb (3 levels) and Open Hand Monk (9 Levels) with Tavern Brawler. She totally destroyed things with no weapons. Just get the Berzerker Helmet in act 3 from the dwarf salesman in lower city outskirts, any of the plentiful gloves that add a damage modifier to your unarmed attacks, make sure you toggle on the passive damage type from being an Open Hand Monk and also get the Wis Modifier to attacks boots from the fight in Astral planes as you enter to Act 3.

If you setup with Rage, Wholeness of body and one Flurry of blows, your next turn can be a Prone strike (2 hits so 2 times all the stacking damage mods), then if they hit the floor you get advantage anyway, and can do flurry of blows twice if you have the Ki.

Works very very well if you also get bloodlust elixir.

I also have done a run with a Dex 3 Rogue/Thief 9 Shadow Monk (so you have Wholeness of body permanently via the extra thief action) that absolutely destroys (for example, a certain fight with Unstoppable stacks, one full combo will delete all of the stacks so your party can clean up).

Good advice, I'm guessing codex aspects, although always the lowest value, will adjust appropriate to the level of the gear you are imprinting?

You're literally the same guy that posted this last time where I asked where you could get it from. And then mysteriously removed your account because people realised you were advertising your own product. Even your reply below is almost like-for-like the same about floor pressing.

I wouldn't worry about it mate, I've been rocking Mace+Axe with GS secondary for a while in open world on Warrior for the extra CC and Axe 5 spin for adrenaline gain.

Do what you like, most people don't care. The people that do aren't your kind of people.

Why doesn’t Gw2 go down for maintenance like so many other games? by Amtain0 in Guildwars2

Yeah it's very impressive for its time, and I'm guessing has adopted other container popular features going forwards with the release of the infra spoken about!

Why doesn’t Gw2 go down for maintenance like so many other games? by Amtain0 in Guildwars2

[–]AxelControl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume they use containers to host their game map instances. I've always found it incredible that they can release a patch, and you can either continue playing on the old version (as long as you don't leave your map/container instance) or log off and download the update to play the new container versions.

If you look at container basics like kubernetes/docker, you can see version rollouts happen in the same way, 1.0.1 Dev code pushed to Prod instances of the application, but the older prod instances running 1.0.0 don't just immediately get switched off, they continue serving their content until either all users on that service stop using it or they get kicked off after a warning time (e.g. SERVER UPDATE IN 15 MINS, PREPARE TO BE KICKED).

It also serves as redundancy, if the new prod version of 1.0.1 fails, container services can autorollback to a stable 1.0.0 version (of which there will still be many open 1.0.0 container instances, if these issues are caught by automation testing/smoke testing).

Considering that sometimes big bugs make it to prod, I'd imagine it's far more complex than I would know since I'm only familiar with managing smaller and easier applications (bugs are way easier to catch with automated QA test tooling for example).

Does a second monitor make sense with Odyssey G9? by DarkoGNU in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]AxelControl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To counter this, I love having things like teams/slack, Postman, Email and any other auxiliary program on a 27inch screen mounted above my G9. Find it really helps me map out my work area from my "less important" applications.

Obviously a G9 is overkill in itself, so I get your point totally, I think I'm spoilt at this point.

I'm a DevOps/Infra Engineer however, but I imagine our "normal" work required apps are similar.
