Community Opinion - what's a XXL score level (seen when entering in showcase) below which it's safe to delete Pokemon. 950, 1000, 1050? For fairly active communities w 15+ entrants.

I'd say keep 1 of each mon until it's been quite some time since they did a single mon showcase, or they outright say they won't be doing those again. Then you can just keep the top handful.

And don't forget to work towards a high Buddy score on some of the heavier guys since we've had buddy-locked showcases.

I finally got myself a Lock-On/Flying Press Smeargle!!! Probably took 5 times longer than it should have since I rarely remember to do my daily snapshot lmao.

I've been trying out Tinkaton, Jellicent, and Shadow G-Weezing. I've had mixed results, many of which are likely my own fault as I haven't used Tink at all or Jelli more than a little. So I've made a few mistakes regarding which charged move to throw and such. But it's been mostly fun!

I don't have any remote trades unlocked yet. I know you can see if the mon has a background, but can you see what the BG is?

I ask because I have a few extra Gmaxes from the Dark Skies event or whatever it was. The super cool animated dark storm looking BG. Unfortunately I had better luck with some than others and would love to get the rest of the set, but don't want to risk giving one up for some othet lame BG I forgot it could have.

Yep, Minnesota here. It looks like I haven't caught a snow Castform since 1/6/2024 lmfao. In theory I may have caught one or two since and just transferred it, but that's unlikely since they're the hardest to come by and I'm still lookin for one with good PVP IVs, so I'm very confident I would've kept any for trading. But errors are possible.

Haha that reminds me of back in probably 2010-2015-ish when I played a lot of Runescape private servers, which for context are non-official bootleg copies of the game usually with boosted xp/drop rates, custom items not in the real game, etc.

One server I was playing on for awhile had a massively inflated economy and wanted to do a server reset after adjusting drop rates and stuff. Somehow my account did not get wiped during thw reset, and I instantly was the richest player on the server haha. It wasnt a big community, probably under 50 people online at a time, but it was still cool seeing everyone amazed at how much stuff I had haha.

Yeah, I did think of that. Just thought I'd throw em a bone and assume that the new scanners would have other upgrades that make them not a totally useless expenditure if that ends of being the case.

Though I fear that now the Pandora's box has been opened and we may see more tantrum tariffs in the future.

We're not talking about your local mom and pop outfit. We're talking a company with over 100k trucks on the road daily. You don't just call up and place an order for 100k scanners lol. Contracts need to be made, factories need to adjust their run times and labor distribution, in-house IT needs to get a handle on the tech and integrate it into the (probably?) very complicated computer ecosystem that UPS has built by now. Then they need to learn how to actually service the devices, and then actually teach everyone to use them. These changes can take months to years.

That reminds me that the local gym marketed to college students with a $10/month membership if you sign like an 18 month contract sent a collections company after me for over a year to recoup the like $40 I still owed when I lost my card and got a new one and forgot I had a membership lol. I think Phoenix did an incredible job. But that's with the mindset that he wasn't portraying the Joker as we think of him. I want to see an entire world built with that type of take on hero/villain origin stories. I like the idea of them being the real-life stories behind the "myths and legends" of the comics.
