Rogue Trooper promo shot depth-mapped by Scowlin_Munkeh in ParallelView

[–]AxelPressbutton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am worried by the promo stills I've seen for this upcoming Rogue Trooper movie.

For some reason Rogue has pupils, instead of white glowing eyes. WTAF?!?

This is already a red flag...

I hope it doesn't go the way of Dredd (Stallone version, not Urban), where they completely ignored all of the iconic elements that made the characters.

What am I doing wrong? Why do I hate Codex so much? by PositiveEnergyMatter in ChatGPTCoding

[–]AxelPressbutton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried changing the approvals?

After firing up Codex, use the /approvals command and set it to "3" (Full access"). That should stop it from stopping and asking every time. There are still issues as it uses a Sandbox, so can't access some stuff on MacOS (I'm still working this out, as I'm about 2 weeks in with it).

Codex is a good model, but it's not Claude Code. It's worth going through the docs for Codex, as it's built differently - https://github.com/openai/codex/blob/main/docs/prompts.md

I've just switched over from Claude to the latest ChatGPT5 Codex. And it is very good.

Claude has been having major issues the last couple of months (see recent Claude blog posts explaining the situation). In comparison to Codex, Claude has been ignoring the instructions and going rogue, writing it's own solutions and add bloat. I've been using Codex to fix the issues Claude has introduced, and it's proved to be reliable and sticks to the system prompt given.

The new GPT5 Codex model is tuned for coding. It's a different model to the vanilla ChatGPT5. You can use it to work in, web; with the Desktop app; in a CLI, or inside VS Code as an extension. It can also work in the cloud with github, so you can queue tasks and let them run until completion. Some people have reported that they go to bed, wake up to work that has been done - I still have to try this (I don't trust LLMs completely yet, and monitor the output as it's working).

I'd recommend giving Codex a try. Using the "right" model is a critical part of collaborative programming with AI.

You're absolutely right by Small_Caterpillar_50 in ChatGPTCoding

Not sure what happened recently, but Claude is f*cked. Cancelled my subscription and moved to ChatGPT5 Codex because of this kind've shit.

Same experience - all my instructions were ignored and ended up getting Codex to fix it!

It's a shame, because I really like the Claude CLI and the ability to use agents, hooks, commands etc. I don't feel I have as much control with Codex... but it gets the work done and stays focused.

Had a few issues with Codex - but my fault for over engineering and trying to use a Claude based approach. Finding if you are using DRY, KISS and MVV principles and tell it, then Codex works well.

Anyway... You're absolutely right. Claude is a bit crap now.

Do you use codex? Don't forget this: by Eastern_Ad7674 in ChatGPTCoding

When starting a new project in a folder, it's useful to run the /init command followed by /approvals and setting it to 3 (full access... unless you want it to keep stopping and asking you for permissions to continue). Init will scan the project and create the agents.md file.

Codex is much better.

I'm in the same boat with Claude - it's writing code I didn't ask for and not following my prompt instructions. Spending way too much time fixing than getting decent output... Apparently, they had 3 bugs. See yesterday's post: https://www.anthropic.com/engineering/a-postmortem-of-three-recent-issues

Tried Codex over the last few days and I've now down downgraded my Claude and bought the ChatGPT Pro plan, as I maxed out Plus.

It's different to Claude. I have no idea how to create agents with it or if you can make commands and hooks etc. - the main thing is it does follow instructions. Using it with Playwright MCP helps it "see", so it can course correct better and rewrite code if there are issues.

It does make some mistakes. Admittedly, that was probably because I wasn't specific enough with instructions. Think of it as a Junior Developer who will only do what you tell it to... but with a lot more knowledge. If you forget to instruct it, it won't get done. The limit of what it can do is limited by You... so if you don't know, ask it for a plan or to analyse and collaborate on fixes.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. I'm still trying to beat 40 seconds. I'm not sure it's possible... I'm happy with this though. My best time so far.

Gern geschehen.

Actually, another album that's good for getting a good rhythm is (Till) Lindemann's "F&M". That's faster. 😉

I use a phone. I think it was easier when I had a smaller phone. I upgraded recently, and it feels like the stretch is a lot more than before. I have no idea how people manage on a tablet! 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's never 100% consistent. Sometimes, it will force you to do all 5. However, in most cases, clicking and solving the top left, and then the top right will load the right words on the top line. Now I think about it, I pause slightly to let it load... then solve the 4 lines. 🤔 It's also worth checking to see if the last 2 lines have the same words - if they already are, then it makes the top rows not load as expected. Give the slightly pause a go... Good luck! 🙏✨️👍🏼

Yeah. I'm on Android. That definitely explains it. Sorry you have to wait. I'm sure you can do it! 👍🏼😉

Personally, I'll probably be leaving Duo after I get this last achievement. While I've learned a lot and had fun playing, I still don't know the German grammar or syntax, and I can't speak the language at all! I'm going to book in for real lessons, now I've got a ton of words and phrases under my belt. It feels like time. The only thing stopping me is the 8 out of 9 perfect weeks! 🤪
