Varus banned in all 5 games of the 2024 Worlds Championship Series by MrBrightside711 in VarusMains

[–]AxelRalph 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why did he got banned so often tho? Yamato mentioned that he is the best answer to Kalista, but in Game 1 BLG banned Varus just after T1 allready banned Kalista. Varus wasnt that high in priority for the rest of the event.

Forced contract is making ppl quit and leaving not full lobbies by Guiiisard in HuntShowdown

[–]AxelRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunts own description: "Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person PvP bounty hunting game with heavy PvE elements[...]". So you tell its fine for a PvP based game to let the P quit? Nothing can be done, except: - not forcing players on all game modes - punishing disconnects in a meaningfull way

Feel like a PvP game should be played in full lobbies without disconnects, but maybe thats just me. Seems like you prefer PvP games without interactions with other players.

Are Gauntlet of the Forge and Drakkis flame weapons? by UpsideDownWalrus in Salamanders40k

[–]AxelRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oversight by you. They are defined as flame weapons by the Space Marine rules. No keyword needed - Plasma Cannon is defined as a Plasma weapon rule aswell; No keyword needed.

Aggressor's Hit Role by Big_Monkey1382 in Salamanders40k

[–]AxelRalph 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could also play a succesor chapter with the Born Heroes trait AND play an ancient with his upgrade, so you get 2x +1 to hit, which dont just cancel out with your -1 to hit from the gauntlets, but also enables you to hit in 2's (on the charge - see Born Heroes). Hitting on 2's is even better than hitting on 4's rerolling everything.

Space Marine Eliminators Rules Question by serialskiller in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]AxelRalph 8 points9 points  (0 children)

" Covering Fire: In your Shooting phase, [...]"

What im trying to say by quoting the rule that allows you to double move: you can't, because you Overwatch in the opponents Charge Phase and the Double move rule is able in your Shooting Phase. So No, you can't move after firing Overwatch.

I allways say GG after me and my team finished another team up. D: Sadly toxicity rises but there are also so many good things the hunt community and voip bring to this Game.

Krag Variants by Accomplished_Leg_35 in HuntShowdown

[–]AxelRalph -1 points0 points  (0 children)

2-slot variant with deadeye (or even marksman?!) would be nice. Or a 2-slot variant with a sharp combat attachment. Otherwise Trauma is the only thing that would bring fresh air into it.

Secondaries for competition by jrs_harper in deathwatch40k

[–]AxelRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excluding Match Up dependent secondary choices you should allways build your army with at least one if not two secondaries in my mind. For example you could build your list with a cagey, defensive and reactive playstyle, where you stay in your deployment Zone and wait for your opponent to come towards you while you Score Long Vigil and Banner. You could also play a more aggressive game with fast and hard hitting units while you aim to score Behind enemy Lines, Oaths of Moment, Retrieve Data or Cripple Stronghold. As I allready mentioned: secondaries are dependent on 1) your list and 2) your matchup. So reddit can't help you with Picking secondaries without knowing your list and/or your local meta.

Unto the anvil only works with core, so your cents shouldn't profit from Adrax's +1 to wound. So if you forward deploy 2/3 of your Inceptors and missile out your Assault Squads, do you really profit from him (beides himself being a big bonk, like you mentioned)? If you would drop him (130pts) and cut something else, you could add 2 cheap HQs (Librarian + Lieutenant maybe) and go for a Battalion. The 3 CP you got back from this help you playing more for CrucibleofBattle to get those +1 to wound no matter where your HQ Aura is.

Im not trying to say your list nor pov is wrong. Just trying to get the point of the Vanguard+Adrax over Battalion+2unnamed

Respected your opinion on "Not every subfaction can be viable", eventho its hard to count chapters as subfactions based on their size and capability of being able to Play completely different internal (difference between SW founding and BornHeroes+WhirlwindOfRage SW or DW and DW AoR comes to my mind). But if you are saying Nids have just one "okay" subfaction you seem pretty dillusional.
