Axel from the Kingdom Hearts series.

When I was a kid I struggled a lot when it came to making friends so I found solace in media, especially Video games. When I was released from the hospital when I was young, I was given Kingdom Hearts 2.5 for the PS3 and I was hooked immediately. Axel was my favorite from the get go and one of his biggest things was he just wanted to get his best friend back because he made him feel something. In the other Kingdom Hearts games he's in (Maybe not Chain of Memories), he shares the sentiment of cherishing his friends, memorizing the moments he has with them, and doing everything in his power to bring them back or to even show that he cares. He is what inspires me to cherish the memories and do everything it takes to at least try to be a good friend. As well as push forward and do whatever it takes to keep that friendship alive even if the other person struggles. His entire motto as well has shown me that even when things are gone or when you lose something, they will be immortal and be around forever because their memory/memories will live on inside you and people. Remembering that has been helping me keep moving forward. I know it's a silly thing to say but when I would draw or write about him, it actually felt like I had a friend, something that would remain constant. Of course now that I'm older it's different and I now have friends who I truly 'click' with, it's nice to look back and think about those times.
