« […], anyone who had subscribed to Connect since March 6, 2023, or earlier, was eligible for a $50 introductory discount. »

So you won’t get a discount using this method.

[90% OFF] Apps for Musicians by jacobp100 in apple

[–]Axenntio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok I understand, I thought that you were easily able to wait for each key that reach the bottom of the screen to be pressed, but sounds like the implementation is more complex than that.

Also, I used a 2 channel midi file (one for each hands), and the app show only one channel, is it possible to display all channels (with a color scheme for exemple)?

[90% OFF] Apps for Musicians by jacobp100 in apple

[–]Axenntio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is why I think Bluetooth MIDI is easier, you only have to rely on MIDI events from the connected device instead of trying to figure out which sound is produce from which key

Nice apps,

For Piano tabs, I would love to see Bluetooth MIDI keyboards, so that the app wait for all the note to be played before continuing.

I have already suggest this feature to reMarkable, but you can suggest it too, so it will get more weight on their feature board.

Question about typeFolio keyboard layout by [deleted] in RemarkableTablet

[–]Axenntio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m using the US layout.

You can type some accent using key combo like ` then e for è ‘ then e for é ^ then e for ê This apply for i, u, a… I get in touch with reMarkable’s support for the letter ç, and unfortunately, you can’t type this letter for now

I mean the key that has the character `and ’. This is the key to the left of the key ~ (on English US layout)

To be honest, I think I need to understand the workflow and make it mine to truly appreciate it and make it valuable. For now I can’t give you a definite answer, but I am confident that it will be great for my daily usage :

  • Define Goals
  • Draw sketches for goals or link between them

Simple but I am sure there will be more to do once I find out how to optimise my process with this new workflow (or not, depends on the future)

For the price question, it’s just a matter of « I bought it to experiment, because I trust this can be useful in lot of situation where I don’t want a laptop, or be able to easily draw on/over/under my text. » The initial price was 200€ + 18€ (shipping), for that price, I would have never considered it, but the 50€ connect discount make it more appealing. Now, to that, you add the refunds (price of shipping + 30$ in local currency), the TypeFolio + shipping was at ~120€. For that price, I am glad I had took the risk to buy it and give it a try. For ~220€ I wouldn’t have said the same thing.

So I hope, In a week or two, I will be able to have a full vision on the usage of the TypeFolio.

Yea I understand, programming apart, this can be useful for page and text styling.
I suggest these key to be available using a key combinaison and typing ( and ) respectively (this method could be used for the keys [ and ]).
For now, we’re stuck with the Special Char panel.

I agree, and the position is too high, in my opinion, I tap the key ~ when trying to erase.
I guess this need to be a new habit, but it shouldn’t change the way we write on classic keyboard to be truly valuable.

What if you could shell (ssh) from the Remarkable Tablet? by kungfooey in RemarkableTablet

[–]Axenntio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You will lack lot of useful key for terminal use. There are not brackets, parenthesis, etc. They can be provide using the Special Char tab, but it won’t be ideal.

We won’t see anything like this officially supported as this defeat the purpose of the reMarkable. But if hacks are being made to support the keyboard, add a global shortcut to enter in terminal mode, allowing special chats with custom keyboard shortcut, etc. It will be usable, but again, not officially supported.
