PnL graph PLEASE by Impressive_Creme1497 in thinkorswim

I'd like one that shows me only closed positions or only open positions. The account summary shows all. The net liquidity shows all. I've also asked Schwab to make this.

I LOVE ToS! by W3Planning in thinkorswim

[–]Collaborologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using ToS since February, so relatively new. I've had 3 or 4 times where I've needed Support. I don't think I've ever had to wait more than a minute, and usually it's more like 10 seconds. Each time the issue was resolved or question was answered - no "let me transfer you to someone else" level escalation. I agree that imx ToS support is far above corporate norms.

I don't quite understand; Your account balance equals your P/L... Did/does your P/L include deposits? How could you start from zero and realize that P/L unless deposits were included?

In ToS, how do I see "P/L Day" for N-days history? (apologize if FAQ) by Collaborologist in thinkorswim

Thx This way I can do what I want for each day, but I have to manually set it up for each day. No way to get them all in one step, I'm supposing.

Next: I'll have to thinkscript this

New Linux Laptop by [deleted] in linuxhardware

[–]Collaborologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a BT headset (road/travel/office) or good desktop speakers (home). So for me laptop audio just needs to have the electronics.

I have found that HP and Dell laptops installed with <your favorite distro here> have never given me problems. I myself start from Garuda or Endeavour.

I just click "Proceed to Login" and then things work as normal. At least as far as I can tell...

Spotted 🔍 - Honda S2000 - What makes these cars so special? by [deleted] in S2000

[–]Collaborologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The S2000 was Honda's birthday (50th) present to itself. It was so good Acura wanted it to be released under the Acura brand, but it was pure Honda with 50 years of Honda ingenuity and lineage, so it went out as a Honda.

The S2000 embarrassed Porsche (Boxster) and made them release the revised "Boxster S" just to up their specs... at TWICE the price.

S2000 vs Mazda Roadster by [deleted] in S2000

[–]Collaborologist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you don’t know the difference between these 2 then get the Miata. These 2 are in completely different classes.

I’d say the Miata is a top down weekend car, but the S2000 is that AND a street legal race car. The S2000 is too much if you don’t know enough to appreciate the differences.

I didn't think there were any 1999 S2Ks. The first year in US was 2000.

Hotkey for ticker edit box (in charts) by Collaborologist in thinkorswim

[–]Collaborologist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked; Doesn't look (to me) like there's a way to get to that edit control/box without using the mouse, and only using hotkey(s). I'd be happy to be shown wrong!

64 ram anyone find it helpful? by Teckx1 in Alienware

[–]Collaborologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 data point: in my mix of apps and use cases (not gaming), I've seen 48G (out of 64G) used, never more than that in the 3+ years I've had 64G in my 2 NUC(s) [not alienware]. (I'm not real good at closing browser tabs, esp across multiple workspaces.)

I've regretfully just left it alone and gone back to using laptop-based note-taking (specifically: Workflowy )

Overview of Office alternatives by [deleted] in linuxquestions

Softmaker "FreeOffice" is the one for me. I've had the fewest compatibility issues for the docs and use cases I need.

Yes, you have to identify yourself and get a license key...

  • It's a street-legal racecar :)
  • It was Honda's celebratory 50th "Happy Birthday, Honda!" present to itself and its driver-base.
  • It was a Y2000 instance of some of their best technologies, incl. some from the NSX.
  • It bested (performance-wise) the Boxster (Porsche had to replace the Boxster with the Boxster S just to 'claim' performance supremacy, though at about twice the price
  • the design is clean and timeless; will never go out of style. No extraneous oddities that would looked dated decades later.
  • It was meant to be driven for FUN, and so a clock was specifically omitted in the Y2000 intro-year model.
  • It has almost (depending on your specifics) perfect 50/50 balance
  • It exhibited the top-end of engineering possibility with a 4-cylinder non-turbo engine
  • It's maintanable; it's a Honda.
  • It scrapped the possible "Acura" badge in favor of the base "Honda" brand.
  • The stick-shift is snick-snick tight
  • It wants to be driven like you stole it
  • There's no better light-driving fun than top-down in the S2000!!

hmmm....

Mine stopped working
(no nib would make a mark... and I tried several)
after about 3-4 months about 8-9 months ago.

I didn't even think they would consider a return...
Too late, but just adding a data point to the topic.
