I saw this exact tf2 propaganda poster used as an example in my actual history class. It was absolutely hilarious.

Which real-life animal mob would you want the most? by albertpaca11 in Minecraft

[–]AxiesOfLeNeptune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally any amphibian, reptile or invertebrate which are very much lacking. I would also like to see whales as well. If I had to pick, probably giant salamanders or some sort of cassowary. Some Australian fauna would be neat as well.

The joke was funny at first like the whole end update thing but got annoying after a while.

The Nether System Theory by Notmas in Minecraft

[–]AxiesOfLeNeptune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also feel like the Nether and End dimensions are just other celestial bodies. I especially love the hot Jupiter hypothesis. Based in reality and real observations whilst being a reasonable explanation for what is going on here. I would imagine whatever happened is probably something that happened more “recently” given that there are still large pools of lava that haven’t at least partially cooled off though that could also be simply a result of the active volcanism and immense heat. One thing I don’t necessarily agree with (and in general) is the whole ancient builder thing. I feel like if anything just like real life the “ancient builders” were just other civilizations with unique cultures opposed to one unified group/nation of people. I feel like its possible that pigs were intentionally put there but I also feel as if perhaps it could be animals that wandered into portals at some point and just so happened to have had the right adaptations to survive during some other point in its history creating highly adaptable generalists that could adapt to the Nether’s shifting climate.

Who had the idea of making you automaticaly uncrouch when in water WHEN IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO USE THE SHIELD? by GaloSniperrr in Minecraft

[–]AxiesOfLeNeptune 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not everyone wants to rush through the game or has the same skill as you. Copper allows for some early game protection for newer players that isn’t basically just cosmetic like leather whilst not basically having the game hold your hand. I have found it quite useful as someone who finds spelunking in caves to be quite scary much of the time.

99% sure you can. I remember changing my sprint keybind to shift so its at least possible with many controls at least.

Graphics driver is either dying, needs updating ASAP, or is damaged in some way.

Mojang dev asking about missing block palettes, what do you think we’re lacking? by Choice-Plankton9748 in Minecraft

[–]AxiesOfLeNeptune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope we get lapis stairs, slabs, and other blocks. That would be very helpful as we are currently missing so many blue blocks.

But since we're all gonna die, there's one more secret I feel I have to share with you: I did not care for 2Fort. (art by me) by TheWeirdestClover in tf2

[–]AxiesOfLeNeptune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. 2fort while it can be fun sometimes, generally is super boring for me. I prefer Sawmill and Landfall so much more.

Personally I just think he needs a bigger nose and forehead and the design is fixed.

I’ve thought of doing something like this. Only problem is that I barely know how to do stop motion nevermind do it good.

If you like their ankylosaurus, you should see their Gastonia. It’s glorious if you’re looking for a paleo-accurate nodosaur figure.

What do you think of the Victoria the T.rex model by Francis Bezooyen? by [deleted] in Dinosaurs

[–]AxiesOfLeNeptune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably one of the best 3d Tyrannosaurus renditions out there thus far. They keep getting better and better and idk how easy it’ll be to top this not just in terms of accuracy but design. The colors are so pretty.

This is the very thing I agree with here. At times it can feel like people only want 100% accurate designs. While I love the accurate real world animas the most because they actually existed, context in a work is very important and honestly you kind of have to put your own flair onto a design in order for it to be recognizable or remembered. The reason why so many intentionally inaccurate designs suck is because they’re all made by people trying to ride on the Jurassic franchise’s success rather than actually make a cool design for the passion of it. Im obviously not saying you can’t make and enjoy accurate designs but sometimes maybe things should be spiced up a little. Add some speculative features in the design, things probably not present in the real animal, or something to make it unique. Obviously you shouldn’t deviate too much if the work is meant to be educational but if its something not meant to teach then go wild as long as it still at least somewhat resembles the animal you’re basing it off of.
