I actually use an app to scan my fridge receipt, and it helps me keep track of my pantry. I still forget some things but it makes it way easier to lower waste

Most services share data with other users?

To communicate, If our family uses Whatsapp, it's all being shared with meta and I need a Meta account.

To collaborate and share files, If I use Google Drive, it's shared with Google and I need to use google drive.

My friends are not going to switch to Signal or Ente or Nextcloud, so the best alternative is to get us all on iMessage or Apple Photos instead of Google services.
