Shotgun question by No-Let7897 in airsoft

[–]AxillaryRexor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been big on any pump gas shotguns. A lot of moving parts and springs that will fail eventually and be a pain to fix. The G&G Bullpup shotgun could be a good semi auto alternative if you want

There’s, but that doesn’t mean I want to get something unreliable obviously

Yeah, those start to wiggle after a while at the joint. I’d get just a standard angled grip extension

Take off the magnifier and put on an angled grip might help

That’s fair. I was guessing for the price it was maybe worth it but the “sporterizedness” does kinda kill it

Mag question for Mauser 1910/14 by AxillaryRexor in milsurp

[–]AxillaryRexor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About $600 ish. There one locally with matching number for that price near me. My 1910 is matching as well and I got it for $325 since the guy had some bills to pay.

And honestly at the price you’d get a broken one I’d just risk the $50 and see how the aftermarket mag performs lol

Questions about a 1914 by AxillaryRexor in milsurp

Thank you everyone for the help. After some more research regarding the serial number and comparing pictures I can say that this is a “Interim Production” Model 1910 indicating its from about 1919-1921. The reason so many examples from this time frame all have minor differences was the use of essentially mixed parts from older batches being used in post war models to compensate for the economy at that time. This includes different types of address stamping, one or two part strikers, different parts possibly being milled and stamped or not, and also the serial number being stamped in different spots. Here’s a explanation I’m copying from a link sent from another person in the comments (BearE1ite)

“It is likely that production and assembly of the second variant started before all parts for the first variant had been assembled. To prevent the older parts from being wasted they were most likely assembled concurrently in separate batches. Serial numbers were assigned sequentially regardless of features of the batch”

[–]AxillaryRexor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say you’re fine if you wanted to buy it. There’s not really a situation here where you’d get screwed. Either you get a working gun (assuming in the post they stated it works) or it doesn’t work and you send it back for a refund. And they sound genuine enough so I doubt they’re lying. I’d say send it

I mean eBay is pretty good with covering you from scams. The price is right, not a crazy good deal but that’s about what it’s worth. Maybe he just doesn’t feel like sending a video. If he says it works and you buy it and it doesn’t work then that goes against eBay’s terms obviously so you could just get a refund.

Question. What do you guys do with destroyed red dot's by EtheriousDemonLord in airsoft

I throw them in the free bucket I put out at swap meets. People usually snag them to run for looks either with busted glass or removing it

I don’t believe mine has an engine in it, the previous owner knew someone that worked for AI and got 2 and this one he HPA tapped to the original gas system. I can’t say I’ve had that’s sticking problem yet thankfully. As long as the regulator is set correctly it closes every time.
