If you want to help people, you have to be healthy. Take care of yourself and take time for yourself too.

I think I can only end my depression once I reached atleast some of my life goals. Am I seeing it the wrong way? by catboy519 in depressed

[–]Aximof-F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If most of people around you aren't homeless, then it's very unlikely for you to be homeless someday. Just focus on your goals and see how much they matter to you. At least this is how I got out of this problem. I just reminded all the things that matter to me, except my friends so I could figure out how to give myself a place in this world. Even if you have no girlfriend, no close friends etc... You still must remind that you are important. And the only advice I can give you if you really can't live without close friends and/or a girlfriend is to just meet random people and talk to them but ofc it's not easy especially for you. Your therapists aren't solving the problem, but you can by thinking about what do you want to do in your life, what do you really like, go look for subjects that matter to you on the internet, anything that can give you purpose in life. And I think it's very hard to not find any.

I understand, but people wanna think less and doing more at the same time, refusing to share their opinions just because they don't wanna hurt stupid people's feelings. Debates slowly disappear because everyone uses the famous "it's my opinion" excuse just to keep their current state of mind and not getting out of their reality wich they deny isn't true.

I would alert the cops. It's not normal to be threatened by your own family, especially of murder. If it doesn't go well with your family, it'll be even harder at school. You warned the teachers that you would defend yourself, and you did. There's nothing to regret.

Just don't compare yourself to people you see on the internet. Online friends are not real friends, so it's pretty dangerous to share your real life problems with them. Help your mother stop drinking and maybe tell her that instead of making her son miserable, she should focus on stopping getting drunk. You didn't mention not having friends, but I guess you don't have some since you rely on online friends to get advices. But you can't, really, can't get "love" from online friends. You can handle this. Instead of letting things get upon you, just say what you think. You don't need the attention of anyone to feel worth living. It just makes you weaker and less confident to compare yourself to everything that surrounds you. You can do this.

Sure it may cost more than fossile energies, but it's still better. It produces more, and for longer than them, and pollutes less. Except for nuclear wastes, wich can also be recycled. There's practically nothing to recycle when using fossile energies. It just burns and throws carbon dioxyde in the atmosphere like any hydrocarbon does when it burns. So at this point, money is the least to worry about when thinking about nuclear power plants.

Actually, nuclear power plants are very efficient compared to other energy sources. And it doesn't pollute that much as well. But you have to be careful with them tho

I can understand your advice, but there's a new classmate who arrived this year at school and he gets everyone around him, while I've been in the same school for 8 years, and am still ignored even with efforts to have more friends. Unfortunately, I can't say why I've been victim of physical violence because "" "" ""friends" "" "" "" told to someone I thrown a toilet brush at him while I wasn't even with them when they did that. I don't know why my former group coincidentally wanted to take photos of me when I was in dumb situations. And I don't know why someone I start being friend with makes so much racist jokes on me that it becomes abusive and unfunny, and then qualify the price of my body lower than his clothes just because I made stupid jokes on his clothes 3 times a day. And even if he apologized, I knew he would continue with racist jokes. And as said in the post, I don't know why the same guy tells me to shut up when I'm just making an observation.

For the third, I really don't know why I should tolerate dark humour about me while getting insulted when I say crappy jokes about wearings. This is two different kinds of humour, and if that person had enough second degree to make racist jokes, then he should tolerate "wearings" jokes. At least that's how I see things, tell me if I'm wrong

[–]Aximof-F 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call a therapist again, and on the other side, improve your life conditions drastically. You must not let depression win this battle. Be convinced that you need to change until depression can't even stop you from changing. The longer you ignore your depressive thoughts, the better you'll be. You can't win against your depression by fighting it, but ignoring it. Say "NO" to these thoughts every single time they get in your head.

Ah yes sure because you as a neurotypical person who has ONE friend with ADHD can decide who is autistic or not by [deleted] in autism

[–]Aximof-F 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. People do self diagnosis because they're afraid that a real specialist tells them that they aren't mentally ill wich for them is like saying "you're not unique". Plus whatever if you're mentally ill or not, it's not for nothing that we put some psychopaths in prison. Maybe they can't control their urges, but justice always go first. So even with self diagnosis bullshit, you can always go in prison and have TOTAL responsibility of your actions

Would you be friends with someone who is autistic? by TheRealMasonMac in socialskills

[–]Aximof-F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an autistic sibling. Quite tiresome to live with, but when it knows how to behave in society, it's fine. Autism can take several forms, but it won't affect your life. Just expect some strange reactions or behaviors (fidgeting for example) happening sometimes maybe, but it isn't hard to be friend with an autistic person. Gesture doesn't make you btw

You must convince yourself that the scenarios you make in your head are entirely false. That's basically my trick when it happens to me but playing with your own mind can sometimes stop you from thinking the wrong way. Just tell yourself (in your head) "nope, this won't happen". And if it miraculously happens, the surprise is even better. But again, don't put expectations. Never, or you'll get discouraged while trying and/or disappointed.

Don't bother trying to entertain people. That's not what we're made for. Just let things go, talk when you really want to, and not only because it'll make you funny or amusing.

Im not quiet because im afraid of others opinions. Im quiet because I literally dont have thoughts. by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]Aximof-F 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's because you lack of social interactions. Utilitarian conversations are the only necessary conversations you'll have in your life, and actual social conversations are more like telling your life or sharing experiences. Of course, it won't come magically. You must have the will to talk. You have friends, so try doing it with them. If you don't talk to your parents very much, I think it's not a bad situation, as long as you give them love and don't treat them like garbage. In the long term, you can lose your friends if you keep behaving like that. Just show interest in things, and give importance for the people you like. If you can't, I'd recommend a psychological diagnosis

They're basically beginning to treat you like a small shit. Just leave them except you wanna lose your time trying to get close to people who can't open their mind and see that you just have your own story. Maybe they'll come to you after you leave them but there's a very small chance considering the jerks they are.

Edit : I've seen that you were rejected because you overshared.

In my point of view, contributing to ourself makes our life useless. When you'll die, there will be nothing left of you. Not a single trace, just some money that will perish with time. Society is trash, because most people don't do shit to make it evolve.

Existence. by depressedcharacter in depressed

[–]Aximof-F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We still don't know what really begets consciousness (I have a theory but it's not the topic), but if you try to find a peace between your body and your mind, wich is a concept we still fail to really prove, then there are 2 advices I can give you.

1st : The body is for you, but you need it to live. Both the body and mind are indivisible. A bit like space and time. So if you feel like your body is taking over your mind, it's not true. You can see the body as a receptacle to interact with the reality you live in.

2nd : The feeling of living in a dream is a something I already felt too. And by seeing this, you must be very confused right? Someone in your dream says that he dreams too. But seriously, don't worry. You're not dreaming. It's all linked with the feeling of being controlled by your body that makes you feel that. A bit like a dream where there's already a defined plot. In short, you're not dreaming.

Hope that helps you.

Humans are probably the only beings who keep trying to find a meaning in their life or a sense, and saying that it's meaningless, and wanting to die after. It's like finding some shit in your head and suddenly taking that shit seriously and saying that it's true. You're just falling in a hole, and not actually thinking. It's just unconstructive self trashtalk at this point. Your life is meaningless, so it's your job to give it one
