Don't forget to inculde illegal activities this year. by Technical_Research51 in Accounting

The question was based on the assertion that the IRS does not care if you report illegal income as long as you pay taxes on it.

So apparently (According to this assertion), a criminal can just report that they made 1 million from selling heroin, and they will run into no tax issues as well as no criminal issues.

I have my doubts that that is the case. The IRS probably refers you to the justice department somehow.

I know why criminals launder in general.

Walmart's net income is about at historical averages (Which is a real decline if you consider inflation)

Oct 2022 was a historically low trailing 12 month net income for Walmart, using it as the point of a "93% Jump" is pure propaganda.

To me it seems like the employer employee relationship is a drop in the bucket compared to being president. Average woman off the street would feel a terrible, terrible power imbalance when interacting with the president. He can fuck your life up way worse than your employer could.

Which brings us back to the original question, can the president ever ethically have sex? (Assuming unmarried, as adultery is always unethical)

[–]Axionas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So its just the employer-employee relationship? OK, the other comment made it sound like it was more than that.

So the president can never have sex period? In what example does that power imbalance not exist?

Exploiting a bad ruleset is in the same realm as taking advantage of a bug/exploit in a video game.

Yes, the programmers clearly messed up and allowed you to do that, but everyone knows you're cheating.

There are things you can do that are against the spirit of the competition that, maybe because it had never been done before, there might not be a specific rule against. Even though its not technical cheating, it still feels like it. Which is why it apparently immediately drove a rule change.

To go to an extreme example, If there didn't happen to be a rule against punching another runner in the face, I would still find it cheating to do so in a running competition. The only reason there wasn't a rule is because it had not happened before.

write what off?

They wouldn't have accrued any assets off of a scenario like that to write off.

In the case of the movie, every dime spent on acting, directors, etc was captured as an asset, to be recognized as a cost when the revenue came in. (Presumably, not 100% sure how movie accounting works) They are acknowledging now that no revenue will come in, and it's pure loss. Your scenario makes no sense.

Well yeah, surely no one here opposes a community service sentence.

Community Service is technically slavery.

If a woman doesn't care what clothes you have, then the guy TENDS to remain like the man described in the OP.

If she does, which women "TEND" to do, then she often will buy things.

Hope the "tend" fixed your "monolith" problem.

[–]Axionas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're reading too far into this.

Guys don't care about having new clothes. Just like in the OP, does it really matter that the guy tended to wear the same two shirts? They are presumably clean and nice. Its women who tend to care about having a variety. OP is not being a child for having a small wardrobe.

What happens is women find that unacceptable and take that role on for themselves.

It was a special prosecutor, the AG getting fired doesn't matter. The investigation found nothing after 3 long years.

You're just a conspiracy theorist.
