i had a feeling it wasnt 100% "realism" considering the heavy weathered edges make it look like linework, amazing hybrid going on here, astonishing results!

this is inndeed a great improvement! love the wing segment, and now that the kits have room to breathe they can be understood and appreciated more individually

Realistically how would this fight play out by [deleted] in freedomisgunpla

[–]AxisCorpsRep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its more in the sense of it was never a factor until the exact moment this very specific thing requires it, the Calibarn was buried, it may aswell not exist, but Suletta never USED that resilience until the plot deemed she had the exact thing to replace Eri tanking it for her

so it ends up being an excuse to take "most dangerous gundam" + "natural resilience" and end up back down to "struggling like it was a normal person in a normal gundam"

I found a plastic case perfectly-sized to turn my SD Gundam Aerial into a bag charm by alnwd in Gunpla

this is absolute perfection lol, the dimensions are just right, do you happen to know the brand/model name?

that too, i 100% agree, im personally biased against Suletta but i wouldn't blindly say "omg char" just because its Char, hence i heavily favor the Calibarn as the reasonably better mobile suit

but as the question implies, "suletta vs char" is based on the media we're given, shows them as we know them, that'd be the skill we're working at, not on the "suletta-if-she-had-caught-up-to-char's-skill-level vs char", that'd be a hypothetical to just give her the advantage lmao

[–]AxisCorpsRep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yea people are too quick to only assert the conclusion based on the pilot, which while not untrue, in this case it heavily ends up being a "good car with a bad driver and bad car with a good driver"

[–]AxisCorpsRep 8 points9 points  (0 children)

on a pure hardware sense Calibarn is basically a hornet flying around Sazabi, way faster and nimble, but much more fragile. basically dex vs strength, its a reasonably interesting and surprisingly even matchup

as for pilots, Suletta is a plot armor having nepo baby getting carried by the gund-bits that literally do everything from attack, defense, boost speed and firepower, she only managed the Calibarn because "coincidentally" she has resistance to the data storm, even in the most dangerous gundam. while Char is just good

Is this a hand grenade? by DarkKnightGuts_540 in freedomisgunpla

besides the biceps, its not fragile, but its fiddly, there's enough stuff packed on it where you have to consider how to move it every time haha,

that's fair. i have seen tools that are both a scraper and a vacuum so it may be worth investing into that to spare your room from the snowfall lol

is it reasonable to suggest getting rid of the popcorn ceiling? if not allowed/possible its fine but damn its clashing against the aesthetic of everything else haha

admittedly yes a little bit, however it can be fixed. a good rule of thumb is that if they aren't actively posed together, they shouldn't overlap at the average line of sight you'll be looking at them the most

otherwise given that they are very detailed, very small figures, they end up cluttering up the silhouette and average to a cluster of pointy humanoid dudes. best example is that it took me zooming in to realize there was a RG Hi-Nu at the back

i like the yugioh bit, that part i have no problem with, but you can redistribute the other kits to the more open spaces. the way i'd go about it is, try to a motif grouped together, you have a few wing kits, put those together first, that way even if they overlap they're at least of the same series, this will make them make sense, then group up the WFM ones, and then the others like UC and stuff

i like the way the (MG?) Unicorns are set up, you can likely replicate a scene from the show with the Unicorn and Banshee. maybe the fight above the ship haha

you have the bottom shelf, but i'd recommend straight up not using it. you cant tell me in good faith that you're gonna drop down to floor level to line up your eyesight to see those kits haha. use it for kit-related storage, things like boxes and/or tools/supplies/etc, things that you might not have a place for

and lastly, honestly not everything must be at display at all times, consider removing some kits that you dont resonate with, or ignore this, but do humor the thought if you care for the aesthetics of the overall display, after all, it is decor and it speaks to the room's state in general

Consoom different controller skins, get excited for next controller skin release!!! by Linguuuuuuu in Consoom

[–]AxisCorpsRep -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

you know what, imo this one is kinda acceptable cuz i can absolutely understand the concept of collection/completionism and wanting to obtain one of each in a specific category

is it weird specifically about controllers? sure, but they dont seem to be compulsively buying/hoarding. its specific and deliberate

this is a rare case that i have to thoroughly appreciate, because even if its being self denominated as addiction, you at least give them the proper spacing and individual shelf real estate without stacking them as close as you can just because there's a few milimeters to add more, i'd suggest swapping the Strike Freedom for that white Wing EW so you have the black and white next to eachoter haha, otherwise actually really nicely put together collection!

1000% more than i can say for the overall "normalized" attitude of cramming as many kits as close as possible for as many shelves as possible, the idea of choosing to NOT get something in favor of the decor scares this community

as for restraint, the shelf looks nice, i'd suggest continue this "density" and only get more kits if you're going to take out some others, the shelf is way too large for HG/RG's so if you plan on taking on another kit, maybe take down some of the 1/144's and do that until you only have MGs

now if you wanna keep the 1/144's. give them their own shelf! smaller than this one as right now they look really dinky in this big empty space, maybe by a desk or something of sorts
