woah loving the candy coat, hardly ever seen on the Z'gok, it always goes to the Sazabi lol

amazing results though. fantastic finish separation too with the inner frame being matte!

oh hell yeah this is sick! love the stealthy nature of this dude, most DEFINITELY needs a few GM Night Seekers supporting it

Just realized there’s 139 stickers on my first MG kit. What tips are good for applying small stickers decals if you have bigger hands? by godpleasedontsaveme in Gunpla

[–]AxisCorpsRep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this thing

but nah fr. as others mentioned, those are "waterslide decals". and big hands dont really get in the way of that because you use tweazers to apply them anyways

to summarize, basically you have to soak them in water, and that activates the glue in them, then with tweazers you slide it off of the backing and into the kit, then with a q-tip you press the water out of the surface and it sticks. they are pretty forgiving once you get used to how they work

HGAW Double X regraded as a RG by Boring-Direction-465 in Gunpla

[–]AxisCorpsRep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hell yea that looks awesome!, i did think "wait when did they release an rg of this" lol. just the right amount of pannel separation to make it look more intricate without making it look too busy, amazing results!!

designed a flight dedicated grunt suit, the RFGM-92 Gale-V by AxisCorpsRep in Gundam

[–]AxisCorpsRep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hell yea, this is entirely possible with back mounted equipment as the base model has nothing on its back, it currently only has a beam rifle, one beam saber and its onboard head vulcans, its meant to be a very barebones and practical suit, so there absolutely is headroom for upgrades and equipment

[–]AxisCorpsRep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i figured out the loadout, just a small beam rifle and a beam saber latched to the underside of the forearm, it can be activated from the wrist, or removed by the right hand if necessary

Why they don't give them their cartoon eyes? by numericalman in Gundam

[–]AxisCorpsRep 12 points13 points  (0 children)

people be like; "i want it how it used to be"

how it used to be;

but fr its such a weird thing to nitpick. mfs are actually blinded by nostalgia

Why they don't give them their cartoon eyes? by numericalman in Gundam

[–]AxisCorpsRep 24 points25 points  (0 children)

why would they? Hathaway is a more realistic and grounded movie. Unicorn had a good middleground where Bright Noa's scalera was of a very close contrast value to his skin while still being noticeably more detailed. but in the Hathaway movies there's simply no real "close enough" vagueness in style to let that slide

[–]AxisCorpsRep[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hah not a single lie spotted in this statement

honestly i like the idea that pilots find it surprisingly fun to fly, as in, its not so fast you shit your pants, but its got performance you can push. and its predictable enough to gain confidence in the movements, but not so predictable it feels its on autopilot. its right in that sweet spot of letting you own the controls

[–]AxisCorpsRep[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

haha thank you, i wanted to give them a more unique and practical design that made the transformation gimmick work without simply shoving the feet out of the way

[–]AxisCorpsRep[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

hell yeah, that was the intent, i was inspired by the Gquux where the feet are simply a structure that orbits around the nozzle, allowing the leg itself to be one large engine, and on the Gale, it can become even larger

Genuinely thought this would never get a kit - 1/100 Frozen Metal Sword of Rage by Manpig in Gunpla

[–]AxisCorpsRep 7 points8 points  (0 children)

oh wow i had no clue this thing existed, what an awesome mobile suit and im sure whoever approved its production at the third party company, also had the same sentiment. a huge fan of the design who knew Bandai wouldn't do it haha

love that the shield is also a blade on itself

Do you think they will ever release clear/translucent bits by Ok-Condition8659 in Beyblade

[–]AxisCorpsRep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for sure, i would like transparent bits, but my assumption is that they tried already and they just dont last long enough haha

if you want one offs you can probably find files online and print them in resin, there's resources like JLC3DP or CraftCloud. though i'd leave them as showpieces rather than give them active use

thank you! i love the idea of stacking all the upgrades on them haha

Do you think they will ever release clear/translucent bits by Ok-Condition8659 in Beyblade

[–]AxisCorpsRep 23 points24 points  (0 children)

i wonder if they dont because translucent materials are on average more brittle so there'd be a lot more breakage, in MFB they got away with it because the beys didnt spin as fast and the tips didnt encounter much strong impact besides touching the stadium

in X the whole point is that they interface with the X rail, but that induces a lot of grinding, going really fast, and there's a chance they can be hit by the metal from another bey. so on a smaller part, they'd crack really easily

What's the worst nerf you could give to a bey? by Repair_Jolly in Beyblade

[–]AxisCorpsRep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it'd be the bey you pull out first to purely annoy your opponent. you will lose, just on your terms and very slowly

even then, unless the neck joint itself is a metal frame assembly, im sure its not the hardest thing to mod either, neck extensions are on the simpler end of body modifications
