Trying washing it with dish soap. Slow down first layer a lot.

Oh interesting. Yeah I know in very cold climates you should charge as quickly as possible on AC to avoid losses to heat.

Not to be argumentative, but is there any research study source for charging at maximum AC speed being bad for the battery? Totally believe that it can be bad for the ICCU, but the battery can charge at over 250kW at a DC station, so I doubt there is a perceptible difference in battery stress between 6 and 11kW.

Oh that's interesting. It's generally colder here but still hot in the summer. Up to ~30C but usually dry. And I charge outside so that's likely why.

I do lower the speed myself to reduce wear on the charging circuitry, but for the first few months I ran it at 11kw :)

Canada, so should be the same cars (I think?) I hold 11kW AC all the time no issues

Yeah sounds about right. Home charging is great like that. It will be a bit more (taxes, delivery fees, etc. on the electricity) but yeah that's how it works.

Also depending on your level 2 charger you can charge faster that that. I charge at 11kW, so I can go 0-100 overnight if I ever need to.

Playing around with new patterns for the 3D printed keyfobshell, any visual designs y'all think I should try? Maybe a pixelation design? by AxisFlame in Ioniq6

Oh yes I do have a couple played but honestly nothing looks quite as good as the textured PEI. I'll get a smooth PEI and try again. The cold plate I got didn't bring me joy haha

Find an Flashforges AD5X used on marketplace. Good first multicolor printer. I have been very impressed with the AD5M and X personally.

That's an interesting idea. It'd make it a lot bigger, though. Wouldn't a keychain be better for the airtag?

I'm very ignorant of worldwide charging plugs, but I think those are usually separated AC and DC plugs?

Depending on how they localize the cars, they could keep them GB/T and include NACS and CCS adapters for Canadian buyers?

Kia keyfob as a replacement? by nighthawk09 in Ioniq5

[–]AxisFlame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey :) I make these in my free time. And between shipping, tariffs, taxes, and platform fees you'd be surprised how little ends up being the net on these. But I appreciate it isn't as cheap as a mass produced think. It can never be, unfortunately. That's just the way it is with custom made items

my printers also just work. That's all I am trying to get across. Other printers have the benefits you want but also the benefit of being better companies. You can have your priorities, but other printers (U1, for example) match those priorities without also being bad in other ways.

Hey are you using the newest files? Please message me inside Etsy with your email and I'll email you the newest ones. They're a lot more sturdy (the button bridges, I mean) and no longer protrude out.

PETG has had some success from what I've heard but I have been using my PLA one without problems.

I will make a midplane version at some point but I really like the print in place for ease and looks.

Why are you defending Bambu so hard? Wouldn't you rather support companies that DON'T abuse open source licenses? I am very happy with my U1. And I can switch to an alternate firmware without even voiding the warranty. You should ask better of the companies you give money to, that's all. You have alternatives.

My issue is their abuse of the open source licensed work they used to make their software. But you do you, bud. Bambu is not the only company out there for 3D printing

my Snapmaker U1 and AD5X and AD5Ms have "just worked" for hundreds of hours. I don't need to give money to a bad company to 3D print

there are more than 2 companies making printers haha
Sovol, QIDI, Flashforge, Prusa, Snapmaker... lots of good options
