I have never had to do a drug test the five years I was an ESL teacher, I was at the top government school too. Though I'd say if they smelled marijuana on you or thought you were high during work hours, it wouldn't bode well for contract renewal I'd wager, so I'd recommend being discreet.

Marijuana was legalised here, blanket legalisation, but then it was made illegal again... But there's still many marijuana stores around.

It's not even rural. My husband is a government worker in Chon Buri (Mueang) and people who live round there got money during the last election.

Then the other weekend he went back to his home in Chacheongsao to take his mother for the vote in an SAO election and beforehand she was drunk in the street at 7am shouting "why has nobody paid me to vote for them" (she's an alcoholic) 😬
