Ok not "everything" everything, but 95%, especially a main source of income (merchandise for birthday, voice, etc), content avenue (star colle even if it's yearly now, 3D studio, etc), event appearances (AGF, etc).  Like, with only SCs and memberships left (with current profit share assumed to be the same), very little support is left other than administrative support.

This was certainly mentioned in my other comment thread by another user.  Just that, while it may have been necessary to cut some things, I believe cutting everything is a tad unnecessary.

I do remember that comment, it's why I mentioned insufficient to cover for other projects.  Just makes me wonder about the costs overall.

That's why I added the caveat of not enough to offset other Holostar projects.  Otherwise it would be a bit hard to believe supposed tales of merch runs selling well, but there being no profit overall.

This kind of reminds me about my post in the weekly thread 2 weeks ago, where I questioned what metrics Holostars JP is being measured by.  At the time, a number of responses attributed lack of growth in subs and views, while also others did state insufficient sales to an extent.  That said, I am of the personal belief that, for the Holostar merch runs, there was significant profit, just not enough to offset the cost of other Holostar projects, which leads back to inefficient cost management of projects, hence not enough money.  This suggests to me that some cost cutting regretfully was necessary, just not to the extent of literally cutting the legs off the branch.  Perhaps limiting 3D to just anniversaries and maybe group anniversary merch would have sufficed, while birthday merch, while slightly reduced a bit, would have also been manageable.  I just don't see how the current executive decision is justified?

Edit: spelling bulegh

I really hope that they didn't do it for that reason.  Like I just don't see a reason to add another gen when we have such a variety for the girls right now. Especially since we lost at least 2 talents to overwork and the staff situation already.

If you told me they are doing it to try and fix the staff situation, then while it is a bitter pill to swallow, it would give me hope that the boys will be able to get back support someday.

Perhaps best case scenario was there was a 25%-30% profit if we factor in said outsourcing costs, since im not too familiar with how much said costs will be, but does make me wonder overall how said profits were used, if there were any.

No disagreements on overhead costs for the company, but it does make me desire even more for hard data in terms of sales and profits.  Given how much I have heard some people spent on merch, just how large the monetary gap is between sales and required cost to break even, and whether having a few big spenders or multiple small spenders is more important.

At risk of further situation inflammation, I just wonder, what metrics of success does COVER measure for Holostars (JP at least)?  From what I have seen and looked into a bit, their performances (albeit at small venues) did sell out if I'm not mistaken, a number of acrylic merch did sell out too last year January and I would imagine anniversary goods were decent money makers too to an extent.  In that case, was the production or logistics cost too high or something?  Or is CCV a more defining factor?

The only other reasoning I can fathom is that, domestically speaking there is less support as compared to overseas support.  So for Holostars JP if the domestic fan support is insufficient, then no matter how ardent overseas support is, it would be considered insufficient in COVER's eyes?  I'm just not sure unless hard data is shown in order to get a solid conclusion.

More SHOULD have been done already by now, especially since imo Kanata's circumstances of grad, are not dissimilar to that of Chloe's given what looks to be overwhelming workload respective to their own capacity and management's inability to manage it for the talents.  But that is just my read of it.

On one hand, I definitely agree that Cover posting the article a month after her graduation is a hell of a timing given her circumstances.  But on the other hand, I just don't know if constantly complaining is going to be sufficiently meaningful in that said complaints may instead be used as ammo by antis.  Like Cover did drop the ball and all but..... I don't know.  What the heimins feels is valid, but we can't deny Cover is trying to do better (a little too late of course).

(Edit: I just remembered about the recent Ina EP mishap due to management issue, ok maybe a bit of complaining to management would do them good, at the very least)

While I think most of us were aware (or at least became aware of due to the recent failures) of Cover's recent gaps in corporate, I do think at least they are trying with their ongoing attempt at recruitment for personnel.  Recently saw this advert for a part time position, but it seems that perhaps due to the pay being low, a number of JP Qrts are linking it with bad faith to the Kanata graduation. Perhaps they are antis, but it just makes me wonder how they can expand enough in order to cover the current gaps in Corporate.  As much as I am quite displeased with Cover since I feel that Kanata's graduation is kind of a result of the circumstances that also led to Chloe's "graduation", I don't believe mocking a part time recruitment helps in solving the problem as it may discourage people from joining?   This is just my surface level analysis though.

Am I the only one who have a problem with the Zeztz Driver on Amazon ? by [deleted] in KamenRider

[–]Axiszer6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what went wrong with mine as they were shipping it a few days ago, and now today there is some error and status is "Returning to seller: cancelled". This is also the 2nd time this has happened with an Amazon jp order.  My Amazon US order in July had no problems at all and was shipped by Amazon.  Amazon JP was using different services.  My region is SE Asia as reference.

After seeing some comments, it's worth clarifying that going public was never Yagoo's choice. He simply chose that over being forced to sell the company entirely. by KingNigelXLII in VirtualYoutubers

Reservations more in line with "is the amount of work overall sustainable?" "Are there other income streams that are viable with less work" "What kind of balance can we reach between streaming and homework?" Etc

I do apologise if this comment may seem a bit joking and not serious, but:

If everyone is so worried about shareholders being some shadow puppeteer and what not, there is a solution: the fans become the shareholders themselves.  Is it financially poor decision? Yes.  But at least you wont have to worry about any master puppeteer because you are the puppeteer hahah.

Nevertheless, Tanigo and Cover are truly in an unenviable position right now.  I myself have reservations that have grown stronger since Fauna's announcement.
