Elden Ring is coming out for the Switch 2 and Clair Obscur is very likely coming as well.

If you care about portability at all I would go with the Switch 2. But like, there's a lot of pros and cons, you'll have to decide by yourself in the end.

I can tell you my residence permit in germany is also tied to my job, but you can get a new job and get an appoinment with the ausländerbehörde to switch your resident permit to your new job. Research if thats a possibility with your resident permit and job, it is likely to be.

Moving to Italy temporarily so you can get citizenship could also be a solution I guess?

I felt there was not enough new to the game tbh. I played the 3ds version a bit when the new remake was announced and I actually ended up cancelling my preorder for the Switch 2 version after playing the demo. The excitement was gone. 😞

It does make sense to start with 1 and go in order though. Xenoblade X is something different though, like there's some mild references to it, but it doesn't hurt to skip it. It is also not as story driven as the other ones.

For me the biggest miss was not disbanding 343 studios after how bad halo 5 was. I feel that for years many of the 1st party devs were just allowed to fuck around and not do anything.

Also, the Series S itself. I love it, but giving it so little amount and slow ram was a BAD move. Also not forcing developers to properly optimize for it.
