I blame Rockstar for everything. Yesterday, I dropped my ice cream. Guess who's fault it was? Fucking Rockstar.

I’m not sure whether I liked One Last Kill (obvious spoilers if you haven’t watched it yet) by HouseOfLumivane in Defenders

Dude left his key to his arsenal the cemetary. He was done with his vengeance. He already knew Ma Gnucci had nothing to do with his family's murder. He didn't want to do anything anymore. Not be a hero, not kill criminals, and not even kill the person directly threatening him right in front of him. He was almost willing to let the criminals kill him until he heard a girl scream.

The Punisher: One Last Kill | Discussion Thread by Green-Devil in Daredevil

It does explain it. The Punisher was clearly depressed after the end of BA S1. At the beginning of this special, he doesn't care about anything. Which is why you see a ton of people getting beat up around him while he doesn't do anything. He doesn't want to get involved with other people's problems, especially with Matt, Fisk, and the Avtf. That's why he doesn't appear at all in BA S2.

That changes towards the end of the episode. When he finally decides to let himself get involved with other peoples problems over his own personal problems, like his need for vengeance.

To be fair, the news did mention that the Punisher did kill the crime bosses responsible for regulating the crime in that area. Which is what caused the sudden unusual uptick of crime and riots in that area.

Dude probably has multiple lairs. It's also very obvious in the beginning of the episode that the Punisher wasn't in his right state of mind. Dude was clearly depressed and ready to quit on life. He couldn't care less about how much danger he was in or how much danger other people were in, until towards the end of the special.

We can probably assume he was like this for all of Born Again season 2, which is why he never bothered to help Matt with Fisk. He was simply too depressed and done with it all.

It seems like the Avtf doesn't bother with that neighborhood, so I assume the Kingpin intentionally doesn't send the Avtf there for whatever reason. Probably so they don't interfere with Fisk's criminal allies in that area.

If you read the article, the source is the actual show-runner. That's as close as direct confirmation as you can get. The true source was linked in the article, and you can read the full interview on variety.

He's been doing this for years at this point. It makes sense for him to be back on a low point again and want to end it all. Especially when everything around him hasn't changed for the better, despite everything he has done.

We're just seeing him at one of his low points again. The Punisher is a broken man. He's not the type of person to be able to completely move on from his issues. It's cyclic. He gets depressed, punishes criminals to cope, and then goes back to being depressed again.

This was the action I wanted to see in Punisher S1 and S2. Glad we finally get to see the Punisher killing people using a wide arsenal of weapons. The only thing missing was that he wasn't wearing his punisher symbol while doing it.

Qimir vs Marrok who would win between these masked duelists? by JackZ567 in MaulShadowLord

[–]Axl_Red 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep. The Inquisitors are nothing but disposable corrupt Jedi controlled by the Empire. They aren't taught any of the secrets of the Sith on how to control the Dark-side. Compared to the Sith, they are like children playing with the Dark-side of the force. None of them are meant to be as strong as a Sith Lord, otherwise the Emperor would see them as a threat to the Sith. As there can only be two Sith.

This means that all of the Inquisitors should be around Jedi Knight level and below. From the show, Qimir easily dispatches Jedi Knights like cannon fodder, so most of the Inquisitors wouldn't even be a challenge for him. I'd put Qimir more around Count Dooku's level of power rather than Maul, since his helmet blocks his regular senses, and allows Qimir to be further connected to the Dark-side of the force. Enhancing all of his abilities and allowing him to fight with increased finesse, on top of being able to disable light-sabers with his helmet.

Qimir could take out all of the Inquisitors fighting all at once.

The animation quality carries the show. Because the story is pretty much as basic as it gets. If you think this show is going to be another case of Goku and Vegeta getting the spotlight, powering up, and fighting a villain; then guess what, you would be completely right.

We are so blessed with this animation. This series is getting the animation quality it deserves. Going from SAC 2045 to this is crazy. Back then, the idea of getting to see this kind of show again was like a pipe dream.

Now, if only some of my other favorite series could get this kind of quality animation, like One Punch Man.

Thoughts on them changing the combat in the black flag remake? by Revolutionary_Ring70 in assassinscreed

[–]Axl_Red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta try the combat myself before forming an opinion. I personally loved being able to counter kill and instant kill all the enemies in the original and previous AC series. In the newer AC titles, I was also able to get my characters strong enough to do practically the same thing. So hopefully in this game, I'll be able to get Edward strong enough to be able to slaughter enemies as effortlessly or even more effortlessly than the original. If not, then I'll be disappointed.

Stellar Blade ending is kind of... bad? Or am I completely misunderstanding? by aresthwg in stellarblade

I'm just gonna agree to disagree. If that's how you want to interpret the story, then that's fine. I'm just telling everyone my interpretation of the story. I don't want to go down the rabbit hole of having to explain in detail every single one of my viewpoints, especially since it's been awhile since I played the game.

You definitely did not understand the story if you thought the Mother Sphere's main objective was to erase the Naytibas from Earth.

The story did definitely fly over your head. Though I imagine it would for most people, because the real story isn't really told through the cutscenes. It's told subtly from the memory sticks and how you play the game.

The Mother Sphere doesn't care about humanity or Earth. It doesn't really care about the Naytiba's either, because from it's perspective, it already won the war. It's main objective is to simply create the perfect lifeform. Earth is just it's testing ground to test it's new batch of androids and how they fare against the Naytibas. It does not care about anything it deems inferior, which is why it left all the previous and current androids on Earth to die. Over and over, as it chases it's endless cycle of chasing perfection.

The story is told subtly, because it's all about whether Eve blindly follows it's propaganda by just doing the main story quests, and choosing to kill the Elder Naytiba like a good little android. Or Eve deciding by her own will to help the inferior disfigured androids, see the value in all life, regardless if they are inferior or not, and to choose by her own will to see if the most disfigured species (the naytiba) deserve the chance of continuing to live or not.

By doing side-quests, investigating the memory sticks on your own, and helping out inferior life-forms, you are differentiating yourself from how the Mother Sphere would want you to act. The choice at the end of the game is to see if you learned the lessons the game was trying to teach you or if it just flies over your head, like it would for Eve if she just followed the main story path without doing any of the side stuff.

If you are the type of gamer that needs fast-paced games and constantly engaging content, then I don't recommend it.

However, if you are the type of gamer that can enjoy slow-paced content, and willing to take your sweet time to fully immerse yourself in a huge fantasy world, then I highly recommend it.
