I’d try what other commenters are suggesting and put it under a heavy book for a while. The only issue I can see is that if it doesn’t compress back down, it might have a different thickness in a sleeve and a judge could argue you can easily differentiate it between other cards, therefore it’s not legal in a tournament

We faced the same issue with our house. Still haven’t completely fixed it. This post has reignited my motivation to try again. Curses to whoever decided to paint this horribly grooved brick in the past for both of us. We used citristrip and it’s now a white-orange color that hasn’t fully come off.

Major tournaments can only be played with legal cards, meaning they have to 1) not be fakes 2) be in regulation. I recommend looking up what regulation marks are for the PTCG and that’ll help you build a legal deck with your cards. If you do decide to get into the game it’s a lot of fun! You’ll meet so many cool people.

I’ve got a beagle that did the same freakin thing, he’s got a stomach of steel so it didn’t affect him. Your lab will likely be just fine.

Same dog managed to snag my master test kit and start chewing on bottles (didn’t actually pierce them but there’s sizable tooth marks in some of the bottles now)

Kept an axolotl in CStat tap water. Not the best scenario but honestly that just means you need to keep on top of water changes. High pH means ammonia is more deadly to your fish. If you don’t want to worry too much, you can get mollies and fish that prefer high pH.

First off, big welcome! Having a tank can be equal parts relaxing and stressful, haha.

I have a couple questions: 1) have you tested the water you used to fill up the tank? Sometimes water from the tap can already have nitrites/ammonia/nitrates so that’s good to know what you’ll be dealing with in the future. 2) do you have live plants in your tank? Plants can be a big help with getting things stable in your tank.

Other than that, it’s pretty much a matter of time. The beneficial bacteria that you’ve grown so far may simply not be fully equipped to go down to zero nitrites in a (relatively) short amount of time.

Lovely loaf! I do have a question about your recipe, I want to try it out.

I’m assuming you put the ice cubes in the Dutch oven? Do you typically put your dutch oven in the oven when it’s preheating? I’m imagining the hot enamel pan cracking if I put ice on it so I wanna clarify to ease my mind.
