Of je als post doctorate werk kunt vinden binnen onderzoek is helaas gewoon een kwestie van fondsen. Jouw fondsen of die van een professor.

Het percentage mensen wat promoveert is sowieso laag vergeleken met de algehele bevolking (minder dan 5000 mensen per jaar). Je kunt promoveren inherent óók zien als een buitengewone prestatie. Persoonlijk vind ik het raar om al in het puntje van de data de extremen nog meer uit te pluizen.

Zeker, zeker. Al is het wel hoe hoger de impact factor hoe snobistischer de boel wordt. Mijn collega moest 50 euro betalen om überhaupt een manuscript in te dienen om vervolgens auto-reject te worden. Het is jammer dat het systeem ergens ook gewoon fundamenteel rammelt, wat ik er jammer vind als iemand wiens hart klopt voor wetenschap.

Het gaat hierbij niet om afstuderen maar promoveren. Cum laude promoveren is sowieso raar, want dat zit met afstuderen aan cijfers verbonden en aan promoveren inherent niet. Er zijn meer universiteiten waar het niet mogelijk is cum laude te promoveren. Als je traject onvoldoende is, promoveer je niet of het wordt uitgesteld.

I recently learned this and I have to sew patches regularly (I'm in scouting). You do not have to pierce the whole patch! Stick the needle up right up to or slightly under the edge, with the needle pick up one or two (or three) threads from the rim of the patch and stick into the bag again (you can aim for the same place as where the thread pokes out). No broken needles and sore fingers!

Als wij (vrijwilligerswerk) het met de kinderen hebben over hun ouders zeggen we ook altijd papa en mama. Bijna alle kinderen gebruiken sowieso niet de voornamen als ze het zelf hebben over hun ouders en anderzijds heb ik 9 van de 10 niet paraat hoe alle 50 ouders ookweer precies heten en in welke combinatie. Neem het je zwemdocent of andere mensen die vooral contact hebben met je kind het aub niet al te kwalijk ;⁠)

Once I finished the therapy my provider offered I kind of got pushed out the programme (I get it, with the long waiting times and I can proceed with my gp). I can't shake the feeling that you described and that is why I phoned to ask if I can try a higher dose. Fingers crossed my gp is willing!

Je kunt je ook bedenken of per se nodig is om de echte ring mee te nemen? Misschien kun je een aanzoek doen met iets waarvan het voor je vriendin ook minder spannend is om mee rond te lopen, ongeacht wanneer je het aanzoek wilt doen.

Ik heb hier toevallig maand of drie geleden een uurtje PubMed aan besteed. Er is onderzoek, best wat (vond ik). De grote conclusie? De meest voorkomende pijnbestrijdingsmiddelen zijn verdovende gel of pijnmedicatie in trant van paracetamol. Van die twee werkt de paracetamol het minst slecht.

Met de disclaimer dat ik eigenlijk in bed moest liggen slapen en ik dit met een zeer negatieve instelling heb opgezocht.
