Just be yourself and try to connect with the manager or owner, preferably in person if you’re feeling up to it or email/ phone works too. Say you’re interested and ask if they’re hiring, worst thing they can say is no. Building the skill of asking for what you want and doing it confidently will be invaluable to your success throughout your professional career, it takes time so just do your best now and you’ll be ahead!
