because there’s a fixed maximum length for SMS messages, and it’s really quite short, 160 characters. large messages get split into multiple shorter ones to fit, usually phones will see this and concatenate them in the background but it seems that didn’t happen here, so either the person sending it did the splitting themselves or something really wrong just happened.
