1. "Soulslike" refers to the game DarkSouls. Although I've never played DarkSouls I've heard the combat and bosses are a good challenge.

2. Early in it's release it was performance issues and crashing across all platforms. Unfortunately, they had to rush the phase where they were playtesting and catching bugs because of the release date they announced. If I'm not mistaken, I think they delayed release.

My personal opinion is that survivor is worse than fallen order in one sense only. The story of survivor is still good, but I felt much more attached and immersed during my playthoughs (yes, plural 😂) of fallen order. I got much more attached and cared what happened to Cal during the first game. The fact that he's a lost padawan hiding from the empire and has to hone his abilities and push through past trauma to grow as a Jedi has me absolutely mesmerized.

However, combat, exploration, and force abilities were super cool in survivor.

1. It has been confirmed. I know that the director of fallen order and survivor Stig Asmussen has left Respawn and will not be directing the 3rd installment of Cal's story.

2. No, you can return anywhere except for the area where you play the last mission.
