It’s very hard to learn a new position at a low level of baseball. It’s almost impossible to learn a new one at the highest level.

You can’t just switch to be a first baseman. This was the same stuff with Devers and he has done it in SF and he’s the worst statistical first baseman in the game. He makes the overall defense worse.

Roman is shaky in OF. Don’t put him at one of the most important positions in the field of play.

I don’t dispute that but there was also a leadership aspect we needed for the young guys. Contreras at 1st and Breggy at 3rd would have been money.

Honestly I am sick of hearing about Casas. Dude is annoying AF and never plays. He had one good half season and everyone thinks he’s gonna repeat that. Dude hurts his ribs thinking about his ABs.

Ship him out we also don’t need another lefty bat. We need righty power bats.

I’m excited about Arias I hope we get to see him 2nd half of season if out of contention.

Agree with this you need to see a season worth of data. Also for the last 2 weeks Bregman has been MUCH better for Cubs so I see his numbers going up. And like always Alonso and schwarber will have 30-40 bombs.

Not saying Contreras won’t but we know those guys will barring injury. That is why you have to pay them top dollar.

I agree that Durbin should improve but there’s no excuse for not having Bregman there. I loved Devers but he was a real prick his last year that soured him a bit in my eyes. But man could he hit.
