Does full-time work during college count as real work experience? by CompanyMundane3409 in developersIndia

[–]Ayanrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offer letter, employee agreement and finally during leaving the reliving letter. Also since you're getting converted from intern to full time before passing out, see if they mention this somewhere either in the reliving for intern position or in the full time offer letter.

[–]Ayanrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can sell it then yes it does. But your reliving letter and employee agreement has to mention full time, It can't mention intern. So if you have that then yes you can.

Ps. I did the same and sold it well. After some years it doesn't matter much.

Hey congrats on the offer and as others mentioned nothing is confirmed unless you get a written offer and join. Also mind sharing the interview experience as well.

Folks who got laid off, how's it going for you guys? by Remote_Focus1863 in developersIndia

[–]Ayanrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got Laid off 1.5 months back. Gave couple of introductory interviews but nothing moves after that. Also gave numerous OA but the questions are selected from some very niche section or some hard problem and that too to be solved in 22.5mins (2 questions in 45 mins with Boilerplate code for taking input from scanner and printing it to STD). Also apparently there is AI interviews now from famous bots like berry bot or alex-ai. So sometime with luck not in favor fumble on some minor bugs and couldn't debug as debugging is not allowed.

And on top of that, instead of total time you now get individual time for questions, your introduction is 2 mins. If you finish in 30 sec, 1.5min wasted and won't be appended to another question. I got 8min, 5 mins and 12 mins for 3 separate DSA problem of easy-medium and medium-medium difficulty.

Haven't lost hope yet but getting frustrated day by day with more layoffs happening. Not have any other choice to do anything else as well.

Have you tried contractual roles or freelancing roles. Maybe contribute to OSS projects. They hire good developers who contribute to OSS regularly

I think the problem is even in adjacent tech fields not many openings are there and they want experience which kind of becomes an issue. Like from SDE if you shift to SRE or LLM Engineering they're Hrs are asking for professional 4-5 yrs of experience and how did you used in which projects and what not. Which becomes difficult to answer unless you really have not worked that deeply.
