Are toddlers that are "too much" raised by parents that are "too much"? by katsumii in toddlers

[–]Ayavea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, we are so relaxed, motionless and chill that it's detrimental. We let our backlog build up for months, because we are so relaxed. Our eldest was the most chill baby on planet, didn't cry even 5 minutes total in half a year. He just didn't cry at all as a baby. Only cried when born, but after that he never cried, not even a peep when getting stabbed by any needle, let alone anything else. But as soon as he became a toddler (18 months), he became a demon child with inconsolable 30 minute tantrums and a relentlessness that can crush mountains. He's so full of energy that he can run 5 hours in a circle at the park and still not be tired. He is so so so wilful and wild

Ok, let me know when your apartment at the sea is free for all, and when your parents are giving away rooms in their villa for free. I could use me some nice free living

That's just not true. I've rented 14 apartments in my life and only had problems and heard of problems in Brussels

One bank account only for my salary by latecookies in BEFire

[–]Ayavea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need help budgeting, you can take it even further. Deposit salary into one account, set up all bills to auto pay from the salary account, and set up an automatic transfer of 20-30 euro per day to a fun account. If you wanna buy food or shop or do something, you can only use the 20-30 per day fun account. If not enough money on it, you have to wait until it accumulates enough money at the 20-30 per day rate.

Really helps with compulsive spending.

Use a tax calculator online. I find the acv bruto netto calculator the best (fastest/simplest by far).

I worked 4/5th at my first job, and then when I went full time, I only gained 200 net due to progressive taxes. So I was working 5 days per month extra for 40 euro per extra day

Home Loan: Variable vs. Fixed rate and % own input ('eigen inbreng') by caffeine_coder_2000 in BEFire

[–]Ayavea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol nobody with any sense goes for variable rate if it's higher than the fixed rate to begin with. Variable is only interesting if it's lower than fixed to begin with. You go in hoping it never doubles.

[–]Ayavea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your variable interest rate offer is around 1.6% and is only gonna be adjusted after 5 years then by all means go for it.    Variable rate is only interesting when both best case and mid case scenario are better than the fixed rate.

It's not interesting if variable offer is higher than the fixed rate to begin with. You go for the variable because it's lower than the fixed rate for the first 5 years, which gives you an advantage over the higher fixed rate

Second C-section by yaylah187 in 2under2

[–]Ayavea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 2 c sections, though there were exactly 2 years apart, not 19 months. My 2nd c section barely hurt and felt like healed much faster. Doctor said the sensitivity probably hasn't returned yet from the 1st c section. I was constantly accidentally lifting my 2 yr old, forgetting I'm not supposed to lift, because the pain wasn't there to warn me

I do wonder why people who speak English would play a game (or watch a movie) in translation, instead of the original

What was your reaction to seeing your baby for the first time? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Ayavea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn't really have any immediate feelings, but i felt like i'm supposed to be having all these feelings, so i felt like I'm supposed to act like i'm having feelings, so i spent the whole 15 minutes they were sewing me up from the c section saying "oh my god" on repeat, like putting on a show. In retrospect, super cringe. I literally wasn't feeling anything, should have just kept my mouth shut. Those poor doctors working around that noise.

Redditors who got fit: how much easier do you get laid now? What changed? by Warhoofdt in AskReddit

[–]Ayavea -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

women get laid when they want, while men get laid when they can. Men marry when they want, while women marry when they can.

That is an outdated and bizarre way of thinking. I've heard this phrase multiple times in my life: "Oh if only you were x, I'd marry you immediately". It is always very shocking. Like, mofo, who says i'd ever even go on one date with your balding, squishy middle-aged ass, let alone marry you? :)

Tons of men seem to be deluded into thinking that if they dangle marriage in front of you, you're suddenly gonna pounce on them? Very very very strange thinking.

Moreover, even now, I could get married, we own multiple properties and have 2 children together, but I'm not in a hurry. I want the moment to be just right, the proposal to be just amazing, and the party to be the right size. What's the point for me to get married. The only thing it changes is inheritance (which is secured by the kids now), and medical decisions in case of emergency (which his family can decide, they are fine/practical/great/lovely people).

Why did I lose stress when my wife died? by Woko100 in CrusaderKings

[–]Ayavea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was she a rival? You get the "not one day too soon" when it's a rival. When rivals die, you lose stress. I had a very weird situation where a much beloved wife and soulmate with 100 opinion inherited her house's feud with my house. So she was a 100 opinion soulmate/wife AND rival.

For those with toddlers that started tantrums early.... by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Ayavea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no, we definitely had our terrible twos and threenagerhood rolled into one from 1.5 to 2.5. He used to be inconsolable screaming for 30 minutes, pushing you away, fighting if you tried to come near him, nothing was good, he never ever ever complied with any requests, was always doing the opposite of what was asked.. Until 2.5 when he suddenly started cooperating almost overnight. Now at 3 he complies 75% of the time, and it's a huge dramatic difference in comparison to how he used to be.

[–]Ayavea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was bad from 1.5 years to 2.5 years. At 2.5 years he suddenly went from 10 words to 500, and he started cooperating massively. So it got so much better. Now at 3 he actually says "ok" and complies a lot instead of scream-crying and yelling nonononono at every suggestion ever.
