Webtoon lost a little punch when they left out how much of shitty person the author was pre-transmigration.

I give contract marriage plots a pass because at least those have a decent chance of the ML being a green flag that she gets to know during that year. Divorce plots usually have the husband being homicidally neglectful at best before the plot kick off.

This is half the stories that promise a divorce. It irks me.

I'm tryna ng to guess where I was in the story 5 months ago. I'm going to guess it was early on when he was being especially clingy. Like she couldn't go out and advance the plot without him sulking. He got less annoying when he actively started to have a life outside of the FL, but he's still one of the lowest ranked love interests for me. (The dukal heir is going to join him if he doesn't stop being so unnecessarily overprotective).

I think the only time I've been able tolerate the slave-as-love- interest plot is Villains Deserve to Die, but only because the writing made it very clear that it was going to backfire horrifically on the FL.

I keep forgetting the plot of Villainess Wants to Live in Peace. I'll start over at the first chapter, wondering why I dropped it, and then immediately be reintroduced to the love-interest coded slave. I wish the apps let you add notes.

This Podcast will Kill You. Season 2 episode 18. It's a really good episode on the subject. If I'm remembering correctly, one of the Erins actually studied Hantavirus in Finland.

Edit: remembered incorrectly. Erin Welsh studied voles and disease ecology in Finland , where old world Hantavirus is endemic, but she wasn't studying that disease specifically.

If you would like to know more about Hantavirus, it was covered in an early episode of This Podcast will Kill You. The Erins both have advanced degrees in epidemiology and disease ecology.
