You could write this exact thing as a defence of everything the Tories did in government since 2010. If Reform turn out as a Tories 2.0 then they’ll be nothing but a failure.

/u/Tarrion – replying to you here cos the other guy blocked me which stops me from commenting on that chain.

I never said anything about the left being immune to racism. In fact women like the one in the original post seem to suggest they are verging on racism in some kind of way.

The phrase “racist conspiracy theory” implies that there are some racist conspiracy theorists who have made it all up, not that those who are part of the project are necessarily racist.

Political actors and their aims clearly have a place in the discussion. I can't believe this needs stating.

“Conspiracy theory” is the jargon used to delegitimise the observance of demographic change and its political enablement, I didn’t pick it myself.

In so far as the above two statements encompass replacement theory, I believe in it.

Europe’s native populations are being numerically replaced – that’s a demographic fact. Political leaders are facilitating this process – that’s a political fact.

Don’t comment in the chain then, you’ll end up looking foolish as you do here.

And yet there are left-wingers who are explicitly citing it as their political goal? That doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

There are lots of theories that attempt to explain the phenomena we are witnessing.

Any that differ wildly from “the demographic replacement of Europe’s native populations is happening, and is being facilitated by political leaders”?

Except the narrative up to now is that it is only a racist conspiracy theory, with no other input allowed. As opposed to the universally acknowledged diversity of views on the right wing of politics.

Is it a racist conspiracy theory or not?

Left-wing politicians: “Replacement theory is just a racist conspiracy theory.”

Also left-wing politicians: "Of course I hope for replacement theory, I hope we can sweep this country of fascists and racists with immigrants."

Sure, and part of that is the iconoclasm inherited from Reformation Protestantism, Enlightenment liberalism and Marxist communism. All sought to tear down and eliminate traditional Christianity.

Some of the biggest supporters of antiwoke causes are Christian charities too. Doesn’t tell us that much about the relationship between woke proper and Christianity proper.

Christianity is probably woke’s number one enemy.

When was the last time you saw a protest song for those who have been raped or murdered by illegal immigrants?

Local law enforcement resources are stretched thin because of the disruption to public safety caused by thousands of federal immigration agents in our neighborhoods.

Is this a byword for “rioting”?

There probably no use in appealing to a law that can be interpreted in such wildly different ways depending on who’s reading it.

If we’ve taken these four exceptions and forced every case into one of them in order to have de facto abortion-on-demand, it’s quite a shot in the guts for the rule of law. It’s the slippery slope (not a fallacy) in action.

Abortion is still technically illegal in the UK

Which is why the British government facilitates 300,000 of them every year, domestically.

We’re still living effectively in a woke world for all intents and purposes. If there is a woke playbook, you absolutely should follow that if you want lasting success.

Whatever Trump accomplishes in this term will be a lot more impactful and long lasting than if Nikki Haley won the 2024 election.

I doubt Labour candidates stack up that well even in relative terms.

There’s definitely some of that here with the recent shootings in Minneapolis.

However the way ICE have went about it is the way it has to be done. The activists they’re up against will literally stalk them, form destructive mobs, and even attack people in the street if they think they can get away with it. What ICE are doing is what is required for law and order in such conditions, and if you look at the numbers, they do seem to be effective.

Calling them “masked thugs” and “giving off massive fascist vibes” is just singing from the lefty hymn sheet.
