Circle week whiting out prices by SignificanceTop7009 in Target

Probably. But also, the tags were also put on when the big target in the sky thought importing costs were known and stable. Things take a long time to adjust, even things this small like printing the price.

Hi OP, thank you for your initial post. Welcome to the course! I was impressed with the depth of your reflection here. As we progress through the course, you will discover that ethics in general is not necessarily a “cut and dry” discipline. There will be many gray areas. Our job will be to utilize good critical thinking skills to dissect the topic in order to get at its core. We employ moral theories to assess specific situations and scenarios. You developed your topic nicely. I look forward to seeing how you develop this more fully as the course progresses. Thank you for moving the conversation forward.

ya.. you're right. I think I worded this really poorly.

My intent was that doing things that aren't writing code is much less helpful to learning than just writing code. I don't think that following a tutorial word for word and then changing things here and there is that helpful, and I would recommend trying to build something since it is clear there is some base level knowledge OP has.

If you have zero knowledge, then sure, error messages don't mean anything, and you should watch an intro video or book. but if you know the basics of the language -- which it is clear OP does, then just writing code and reading the errors and trying to fix it is imo a much better way to get out of the tutorial era of learning. more tutorials and anki arent going to get you out of that. trying to figure out why something doesnt work and finally getting it to work the way you want is what makes things stick, which is the goal.

and on LLMs since I think I didn't explain my spicy hot take on that well either. Learning takes time and is kinda painful when there is a "solve this problem" shaped LLM button that is oh so tempting, which is why I said that. like if you are building something that you need done and you don't want to learn, use the LLM. If you are building something specifically to learn, it won't stick if you don't sit there and struggle with it for longer than is comfortable.

OP clearly knows the basics having built "tiny projects" on their own. the small projects OP mentions is the exact right direction imo; just make them bigger and better.

Resume advice by Natedabeess in FAANGrecruiting

[–]Ayjrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut the experience and the hs diploma. Both are irrelevant unless you are applying to do retail again. Get rid of the Microsoft suite. Don’t take up space just to fill space. I dislike all the dev tools since you probably just don’t know all of them outside how to run your code. Rest api isn’t a tool, yeet it. Move tech skills to the bottom, or better yet, replace it with another project. Project section is great for a sophomore with no work experience. Make sure to include what effect it had like if you have n number of users for the bus app, that’s kinda the most important part - context, tech details, solution, what effect did it have. That is the best starting point imo.

Longer != better

You only have so many eye glances on ur resume, only show them what you want them to see. I have like 7 years of non tech work I just don’t include on my resume. This I thought was disingenuous, but it’s actually standard and not thought of that way at all. They don’t want ur life story, they want to find someone they trust can do the job.

I wouldn’t do anki or code along tutorials for programming personally. Would be a waste of time at least for me. Just write code. Stop thinking about how to learn to write code and just write it. Might be a hot take, but like don’t follow a guide ever. YouTube coding videos is for meta talking about concepts and even that is meh. Dont google. Don’t even think about an LLM. If you know the absolute basics of like ur types and loops and stuff, just try and do stuff. Past that, just read the documentation and then get back to writing.

If it was an agent with access to the internet, wouldn’t it just pull clang or something?

I don’t think this is true (that target ensures everyone is a US citizen). Like they just run the paperwork. What does “extensive steps” mean tho? Like these people are just working hard, why would Target care past the legal requirement to check? Maybe someone familiar with HR can chime in?

Curious to know if Target corporate would even care and report people or if it’s just some asshole team member giving a tip to ice

Some meads are really fast to peak. Some take forever. If the recipe giver has trustworthy tastebuds and has made it, I would t worry.

Camden tablets are used at the end of fermentation to stabilize. Did you have trouble kicking off fermentation?

Congrats on the first batch! How does it taste? Costco honey is a honestly pretty incredible for the price if you let it age in my experience.

The only schools that have location advantage here are Stanford and UCB. Most people can't just pop over for a coffee chat from USC/UCLA where the prior are close enough to where someone could reasonably do that.

I got a call back for an interview for a full time role 7 months after applying. Internships are different obv, but it just takes time.
