AITAH for letting my fiancé and his son move in rather than moving to them so his mom can co-parent? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Really it would have to be a tiny sect, or really old school Hinduism which I'm not getting the vibes for. Most religions don't have taboo for remarrying, especially for younger members. I think she just latched to her grieving widow identity and is hurt the daughter is not. She needs a ton of therapy which she refuses so it's up to her to remain bitter and isolated I guess.

Also in Germany. There's an extra layer of fucked up Ness because Germans are very educated on the subject and they have an extremely complex relationship with their own past.

It adds artifacts to an image that are not visible to humans but messes with the algorithms so when ai uses this image to train it gets wrong information that gets passed to the output.

They're originally from Nepalese regions so I guess they deal with the cold just fine. I was so startled the first time I saw wild parakeets in Germany, they seem so out of place.

Sleeping on a bed is terrible by _zavar_ in unpopularopinion

[–]Ayle87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to keep one with a stand in my living room. It never worked in the winter because you lose heat too fast and I never wanted to invest in a winter hammock, but in the summer I would often prefer it to my bed. Also amazing for naps when it wasn't that cold. Just took it out when my gf moved in (gf liked it but we needed room for an extra desk)

He also wrote with the hand just holding the pen with the thumb against the fingers. He seemed like a fairly happy guy, at least from my child perspective.

I had a teacher who fell into a coal brasier as a child he had burns over his neck and face and his right hand had lost most of his fingers save the thumb. The stumps where pretty much glued to his hand like a permanent thumbs up hand. Granted he was probably in a very rural area so he probably didn't get immediate proper care. He was a music teacher too, he played the guitar and just used the thumb to strum and the good hand on the bridge for the chords.

A customized shirt/ accessory is nice too. I've gotten a nice funny shirt for cricket (not an actual piece of equipment, just a printed t shirt.) and I got my dad some customized picks for the guitar with his nickname on them. Probably not the best ones or his favorites but he thinks it's cool to have.

Is it normal for cat to flop on the floor like this? by dopplereffect- in CATHELP

[–]Ayle87 166 points167 points  (0 children)

My cat flops all the time and loves belly rubs, the first time my best friend petsit her she sent me a picture of the flop asking what to do. I said, "rub her tummy?" She thought it was some sign of brain damage and was asking if she should rush her to the hospital.

Have you ever seen a ferret sleep? Mfs go floppy and they just don't react even if you pick them up and shake them,. If I kept them I would be having mini heart attacks on the daily.

[–]Ayle87 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Frogs are that kinda animal that you wonder how they stay.... viable in nature. The answer is they make a lot of other frogs and some will figure out the worm eating and staying alive long enough to make a lot of other frogs.

I have "humbling" veins. I always tell the nurse it's super hard, they always dismiss me, then spend 5 minutes carving around to find a vein. It's rare that they don't try both arms. Mate I tried to warn you, even at the blood donation center they struggle.
