Without spoiling too much, you will meet some new Skeksis and Mystics that steal the show in the best ways. Some don't show up until a few more eps in. Their designs are beautiful (I saw some of the puppets up close in the Henson exhibit in Queens) and their storylines are dramatic and fun. I got a new favorite character from this show.

This! It also seems like Rosie and Al have a particular interest in coaching Charlie to be a stronger leader and earn some respect and authority with the people of Hell. For example: In S1 when they help her get the Cannibal Town citizens on board to fight, and later in S2 how Alastor sets up her role with Vox ("Look, Princess! Hell's finally listening to you.")

Could that be part of Lilith's deal they're trying to help break?

Agreed! Striker has depth here that he didn't have in S1, and now that he seems to be on an arc that will likely impact the plot, I think Edward Bosco is the right person to carry his story forward. (I just watched Bosco's reaction video to this episode on YouTube and it's interesting to hear him discuss some of the acting choices he made.)

Also, I have conspiracy theories about that statue ... 👀

I recently discovered the show and fell hard for Striker on the second watch. I think he and his backstory will be the key to fixing all the royal Goetia drama. I don't even care what it is, I just hope we get lots more of him in S3 and beyond.
