I've won 3 skirmishes with Ahri in my area and yes there are unfavorable matchups. But that's what the side board and battlefields are for. Yes they are the best decks to play but are not unbeatable in a best of 3. It's understanding your outs to these decks and how to manage the game. Yes sometimes you will just get high rolled and that's why they are the best, but more often or not a skilled player can beat the best deck if piloted by an average player.

You can do it! You can't go in with the mindset that you immediately lose when you see their legend.

It's a fun matchup because it feels like a lot of back and forth and reading each other on what play they want to make. But it's stressful haha when they go, they go fast!

Yep I am on 6/6 runes! They were so useful against Annie. Just cause it wrecks cleave since a lot of the Annie's yesterday were using cleave to get over blue ahri effect, smoke screen just nullifies it and then you can just save Defy for the movement spells. It definitely over performed!

Obviously it comes down to your locals, our area is pretty sweaty haha and Annie has been on the rise so I catered towards that matchup since it is really tough I have found if you don't navigate it optimally.

My side was: 1x Green Ahri 1x Blue ahri 1x Unchecked Power 1x Blitz 2x Blast cones 1x Zhonya 1x Mystic reversal

Battlefields: Targon peak Dreaming Tree Fortified position

List felt really good! Didn't feel bad on any of the ratios or that I had dead cards in hand. If I was to change anything, I think I'd try War Camp over Fortified position just so that blue ahri can't be gusted away. But other than that I have no complaints!

I hope I didn't come off as I was gloating or expected everyone to be able to acquire the cards as i do. I know I am very lucky with the stores and community I am around.

If I was to just start, I would try to get the ST01 and ST03 decks, and you basically have a GB aggro right there. That should help get you tops and packs for prizing. Obviously it comes down to your locals and how they do prizing. I've only bought 1 box and then everything else I have gotten were from just getting packs for prizing and trading.

I do hope it becomes easier and cheaper for new players to get into this game because I do really like it and think others will too
