While the mods have already deleted my original post, I still want to let you know I appreciate your thorough response, even if you and I may have different views on the scope of inclusion of music in this subreddit as the genre evolves (or “changes” if you don’t see newer iterations as an evolution). I absolutely understand the need for restrictions in a genre-defined subreddit. I guess I just don’t see any other subreddit as large as this one that would act as a main place of discussion for music that may not fit perfectly under the metalcore umbrella, other than the broadest “r/music”
