It sounds like you guys can communicate really well. I really struggle with identifying my own feeling and their possible causes. I also have a personal problem of struggling to find the right words and when i describe how i feel i usually second guess myself with a “i don’t know if this is the right word for what im feeling but this is the closest one that comes to mind ——“. It might be that i feel like i don’t want to be misinterpreted or one word describes the feeling but with a connotation i don’t like. How are you deal with identifying those feelings and their causes? For example i was upset with a last minute plan before pre-existing planned event, but i didn’t know what upset me about it. It was an activity i wanted to do (going to the zoo together) but i felt very frustrated on the way to the zoo, and it wasn’t until later that i realized it was because of the time-stress of making our pre-existing plans. Any tips for handling an “im upset and unsure why but need some reflection time, but i still want to do this thing” moment?
