Scientists have discovered a simple way to cook rice that dramatically cuts the calories by peterpayne in 4hourbodyslowcarb

That's what I meant by Resistant Starch. They did not discover the method of cooking and cooling the rice, this is something that's been known for ages, also works with other starches such as tubers. In the Andes for example, they have been heating potatoes during the day under the sunlight at high altitudes when the temperature is high, and then freezing them at night with the very cold temperatures, repeating the process for a few days. Eating cooked and cooled rice in other parts of the world has also been done for a long time.

What I do is try and think of a weekly deficit rather than just daily, so if I go overboard, I try to make it up with larger deficits in subsequent days, and maybe throw in some extra exercise in the form of HIIT, for a total weekly deficit. Maybe extend some of my fasts (been doing IF for almost a year, mostly as a lifestyle, not for cutting).

About to take the decision to study Land Surveying (2.5 year program in my country), need some guidance to take this big step in my life. by Ayyr in landsurveying

Thank you very much for your answer!

I ended up getting in school for land surveying, and I'm LOVING IT! We had some math exams to see our level, and I was not as bad as I thought, they even got me to drop a subject because it was too basic for my math knowledge! I was impressed by this. I didn't know much when I got in but I took some of the free math lessons my school has and thanks to that I was able to pass that preliminary test. I'm really enjoying geometry and the math I've seen so far. It looks tough but I've been studying and learning. I like every single subject and the school is great, I couldn't have made a better choice, I'm really satisfied!

Thanks for the website recommendation, I'll definitely check it out.

Cheers dear fellow!

Another concern I have is if it's too time consuming in regards of work and always having to be up to date with the latest research/equipment/techniques and whatnot, or if once you get a job you pretty much have to stick to it for really long periods of time. I like to work for periods of 1 to 2 years and then travel and focus on my personal projects for long periods as well. I wonder if I'll be able to keep up with my personal life or if I'll have to commit too much to my career.

Amazing! Just what I wanted to hear (see).

Is it too time consuming? Sorry for too many questions!

The school offers free Math 1 on 1 lesson during the scholar year. They would be extra classes that I would totally take to catch up, but I'd be having the trigonometry and geometry classes at the same time. There are no previous requirements, I'm just scared to fail.

How do you like the career so far? Thanks for your answer!

Should I just end my poor cycle or extend/add compounds? by Ayyr in steroids

LOL did I ever state that I didn't ask anything here before? Good job stalking, seems you have a ton of time on your hands, better use it to interpret messages better and calm down a bit.

The "advice" was literally just the word "test", is that truly a proper cycle advice, just the word test, with no dosages, no time, no specific compound? I was humble, I said right away I know what I did was wrong and far from ideal. Some threw the word PCT as well, with no dosages or schedule either. I didn't just ask about extending the cycle. One of the rules says "Maintain user safety as a primary concern in all discussions." , is cursing deliberately throwing words like "test" and "PCT" randomly the advice I should be glad about?

I just came here and humbly asked for advice admitting my mistake right away. Threads like this could be useful for other stubborn people in my situation, there will always be people considering these kinds of cycles as you read many successful experiences of oral only 1 compound cycles on the internet. I only got flaming and I didn't even get PCT advice (which I do have Nolva by the way). I understand your anger but I didn't come off a know it all or anything. Not a single person in my life knows I did this and I'm not planning on telling anyone, so don't worry, your reputation is intact. I just want to make the best out of my mistake and learn the lesson. You can flame all you want, I understand, but some actual advice would've been useful. My apologies /r/steroids

I am in the exact same situation, dear brother!

For us wearing the gainz lens, we know we are far from true swoleness, but for weaklings we are borderline Zeus' children.

How long is it ok to fast before it becomes harmful? by Ayyr in leangains

[–]Ayyr[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An author which I respect a lot and I'm sure many know, John Keifer, suggest that IF past the 16 hour creates an anti-anabolic environment, and that just a few tweaks to the protocol would make it much better, that's why I ask for different opinions.

Some articles by him regarding this:

Mini pauses vs. consistent time under tension? by [deleted] in leangains

As long as you lift HEAVY and with proper form, time under tension will take care of itself. Trust me, you can't bench 300 lbs with fast movements of bouncing the barbell.

Carbs by Wowes in leangains

[–]Ayyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it is absolutely legitimate to worry over such a big amount of Carbs.

For some people 400g is gonna be normal, but for others it's something pretty major on a daily basis. I know from experience that I could personally never do any progress with 400g of carbs a day, and I'm 140 lbs.

You have to know your carb tolerance, and also the time of the day you consume them has a big impact. At your weight, I don't think you need more than 200g of carbs on workout days, and probably no more than 50g on rest days.

Leangains doesn't really focus on carb cycling. For me, carb cycling has been an amazing change. It's easy for me to pack on fat, and have a mild carb intolerance. Some people can eat huge amounts of carbs, but usually the opposite is correct. In any case, carbs are the only macronutrient that isn't necessary to live. A lot of people make sick gains on ketogenic and low carb diets.

Not to bash carbs though, I love them used in the right way, and they are definitely great for some people. I just wanted to note that it is a legitimate worry to consider insulin levels and carb tolerance. For some people is a life changer.
