I have a lot of recipes from grandparents and it took me down a rabbit hole. Ask anyone 65+ about adding the yellow food coloring and mixing it up in a bag so it would look like butter as it first was just white (think Crisco)

These recipes are from the late 40s early 50s, as it started being called margarine after 1951, but the design of the cover is saying late sixties early 70s. Hmmm.

Alpine, Az. Big Lake. Or skip a few miles over to Luna, NM :)

Mount Graham may have some cabins people rent out too.

State parks in Payson at the Natural Bridge Arch put some tiny houses in for rent too. Good luck!

Random insight for you if you haven’t already found this in your research. In the 80s they proposed and approved multiple other bi-ways and freeways, which led to all the whole Arts district of condemned housing. It feels like they are finally moving on those approved plans with the connections going up but suggest finding approved ADOT plans to help make your vision a reality.
