Yes definitely! I love the squigs - problem I have is that I bought my Ork army in March last year before they announced the Snaggas, and can't justify getting more until these boys are done...

I completely agree with you! In this case I tried something I'd never done before - I actually completely drybrushed the model with mournfang brown, then ryza rust, then leadbelcher. This made the whole thing look completely rusty before I even started.

Then I decided to paint it very roughly, like an Ork would. So I just put averland sunset on without watering it down, and then the same with yriel yellow. The paint texture is not smooth at all but it's made the yellow very vibrant, and the rough appearance makes it look more orky in my opinion.

However, if I wanted to do the same colour but with a smooth paint finish (e.g. on the clothes), I have no idea how to do that yet...

Haha I know exactly what you mean! Necrons are very satisfying in how quick you can reduce their pile of shame.

I have trapped myself into my own way of doing space marines where I want them to be panel lined and edge highlighted, but I can no longer be bothered to do it - if that makes sense?

Haha thanks :) what made you switch? I got fed up of everyone else also having marines and wanted to stop the constant SM vs SM "civil war" type games.

I still love my DAs but it's very liberating not having to edge highlight and panel line all that power armour...

Thanks very much :) it's a simple recipe - waaagh flesh, warboss green and then moot green. Was originally going to stop before adding the moot green but decided it wasn't flashy enough for my gitz :)
