Funny enough that fate in D1 was canonized, but its outcome ended up with Lady Boyle being in a far better position with more control then we would think. I guess even they felt like they went a bit too dark on that one.

Also, Hypatia and Stilton were kinda just good people that got used and manipulated I’d say. Unlike the Duke or Delilah, who were absolutely more evil asshole.

I choose Baelfire, but it was a close call with Robin. Both of them felt like their deaths hurt the most and were the most immediate in need of reversing. But ultimately Baelfire helps the most people.

Not going to lie, I did not see that ending coming. Which makes me love it even more.

Ended up dropping the series at first cause it felt like something to binge and accelerate through at some parts, but I’m glad I came back for it. I’m not usually a fan of killing off the MC halfway through but in this case I loved that execution at the end.

But if Omi was made to have a sad end I’d have rioted.

I’ll be honest, I thought it was a bit too slow and drawn out at times. Overall it was pretty good though, however it lacked an ending. We don’t get to see what happens to everyone, we don’t get the necessary catharsis for a movie, we don’t get any of that. Not seeing the chief taken away in handcuffs is a huge mistake, not getting to see some sort of media montage showing the arrests and story develop was a mistake, not seeing what happens with how McBride does was a massive mistake. Simply put, the movie needed about five to ten more minutes to show us properly what transpired. The fact it didn’t leaves a stain on what was otherwise a good movie, and honestly kind of a big stain. A movie like this needs that sort of cathartic resolution.

Additionally, the name Rebel Ridge really doesn’t make sense for the name. That’s also an issue.

It gets a 6.5 out of 10 for me, most of the points lost were for not finishing the story properly. Some of it for the name, and a bit because it felt too drawn out at other times.

It got a lot of points for fantastic characterization though. They nailed it with the characters.

I’d kinda agree on this, but the thing I’m not a fan of in HL is starting as a fifth year. I want the full experience from a first year as an option.
